TechnoratiJohn W. Styll, president of the Gospel Music Association (GMA), recently announced the hiring of Steve Brallier as the new Executive Director of the GMA Foundation.

As executive director, Brallier will be in charge of raising funds for the future GMA Hall of Fame to be built in Nashville as well as overseeing the building after its construction.
"[Brallier] comes to this position with the perfect blend of music industry experience, sales and development skills and Music City relationships," noted Styll.
Brallier has had more than 20 years experience with the music industry in Nashville, and has spent the last 8 years as vice president for a Nashville video and live production company, Tangible Vision Inc.
On top of this, the new director has had much exposure to Christian music in the past. He helped establish the first gospel music talent department for the William Morris Agency in Nashville, and during his time there, he signed more than 40 Christian artists including Take 6, Sandy Patti, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Point of Grace and Anointed.
Brallier also co-created and produced the first-multi artist Christian circuit, called the Young Messiah Tour, which lasted for seven years. The show made more than $60 million in arena sales over the years.
“The Christian and gospel music industry is a vital and important part of the city of Nashville,” said the new executive director. “The new GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame will honor and celebrate the economic, cultural, social and spiritual contributions past and present that Christian and gospel music have made not only to Music City, but to the world.
“I am honored to be entrusted by the GMA Foundation to carry the message of the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame and to enlist the support of the music, business and philanthropic community in our effort to build a first-rate, world-class Hall of Fame in Nashville.”
As of now, there have been no concrete proposals on how much money will be collected for the GMA Hall of Fame, and there is no exact location proposed for where it will be built.
