Study: Gay-Friendly TV Networks Not Friendly Enough

By Nathan Black|Christian Post Reporter

Furthermore, Gagnon sees the transgender issue emerging on the same path that homosexuality has through the media.

“Initially, for example, even [Congressman] Barney Frank said with regard to hate crime legislation and employment non-discrimination legislation, the transgender community would have to forget about that including them because America was never going to accept that. They were just going to work on getting approval for gays and lesbians,” the professor said in an interview with The Christian Post in June. “But now that’s changed because the culture has changed and now they’re going to try to get in the transgender too.

“It’s always been pushing for the homosexual agenda with the attempt to eventually – once they get that accepted – move into the acceptance of bisexuality and transgenderism,” he added.

For the landmark GLAAD report, primetime programming on the five major broadcast networks were examined from June 1, 2006 to May 31, 2007. GLAAD will issue its 12th Annual "Where We Are On TV" diversity report, which examines LGBT inclusion in the upcoming television season, in September.

We're all sinners and are not to judge other's. All sin in God's eyes is the same. However we shouldn't promote sin either. I would suggest in writing to the networks and letting them know that you don't support this sin, and use good judgment in what you watch....

It is time...HIGH time...for those who name the name of Christ, to come out from among them and SHUT the glass box off - FOR GOOD!!!. There are other options, of course, like creating our own films, but the majority won't and will sit in front of the tube and revel in the decadence. It's time, Church, to step aside and not let the fleshpots of Egypt hold sway. Our family has done without TV for years, and we enjoy its absence. Occasionally on vacation we might scan the networks, but it's for naught!! Our girls will not be formed by the vileness which pretends to be entertainment.

Would Jesus Christ be comfortable sitting with you in the privacy of your home watching with you as you gorge yourself on this filth? He's there, you know. Always!!! It's time to repent of this sinful behavior called entertainment and get on with the good stewardship our time demands. How about spending time with the family by reading, TALKING, worshipping God, praying together, and vacationing together. Better yet, how about taking your children out of government schools and really give them an education - a HOME education!!

There are so many great alternatives to watching TV. Why be dull and brainless when God has so much more in store for us???

As a born again Christian myself, I'm extremely bothered by the attitudes portrayed by 'Christians'. TV is filled with heterosexual greed, lust, murder, violence, sex, pornography, adultery, fornication. and NO ONE SAYS A THING. However, everyone once again decides to pick on gays as these wicked sinners, yet say NOTHING about heterosexual sin.

Plus a large portion of Saved Christians are divorced and remarried (unbiblical divorce) and live in sinful adulterous marriages. Yet they stand back and point fingers at Gays. Shame on us. I'm embarrassed to call myself a Christian.

Time is so precious, Jesus is coming soon, and we gotta understand the Bible better, teach our children the Word, work and pray, read and study, fellowship and good friendship. Actually, there is no time for TV. The idol box.

It's time to cut down TV watching anyway. It's a waste of time, electricity, money, & encourages further physical inertia and weight gain. Not to mention the polution of our minds & temptations to lust with our eyes. Or even simply to be subconsciously become more materialistic or consumeristic.

Less TV means more quality family time!

The Blood bought Church of Jesus Christ must make a stand by declaring the true Word of God. It doesn't matter what laws are passed, In the sight of God homosexuality is still an abomination.

Our law makers think that by passing " hate speech " laws into effect they can turn the tide for their homosexual agenda. They beleive they can make homosexuality an accepted lifestyle. But God does not accept it.

We must pray for all those involved in this sinful lifestyle. And yes we must love those intrapped in this sin. And yes it is " more Love " to warn them than to just sit back and say nothing.

God loves the sinner, but He hates sin. He loves the Homosexual, but He hates homosexuality.

Come on Church, don't let the devil deceive you, there is no middle ground with God, you are,or you are not on Gods side.

The Scripture declares, " Let the redeemed of the Lord say so." Art.
