Two Christian girls who were kidnapped from their families in Faisalabad, Pakistan, were forcibly converted to Islam and later married off to strangers.
After kidnapping the girls, the Muslim men reportedly delivered distorted marriage certificates to their families.
According to one of the certificates, 16 year-old Shamaila Tabassum was married 12 days before her disappearance. Her lawyer, however, has asserted that the dates mentioned in the marriage certificate are falsified as Tabassum was still at home at the time.
The other certificate distorts the age of Zunaira Rasheed as 18, while her actual age is 11.
Abida, Rasheeds mother, after being informed of her daughters kidnapping readily paid 12,000 Pakistani Rupees ($200) to men who promised to help trace her daughter.
"Since my daughter was engaged, I didnt want the police and relatives to know the matter, she said. Unfortunately, I found out too late that those men who offered help only wanted my money which I got with great difficulty, selling all I have."
Because the police have reportedly been negligent and slow to act, the girls lawyer decided last week to file a case against the officers in Punjab city of Faisalabad.
Khalil Tahir, a well-known Christian lawyer and chairman of a free legal aid organization "Adal Trust," pointed that Christians in the country are unceasingly abused and tortured.
"Although we try to aid the victim's families, offering legal and practical help, the government must curb and stop the issue using," he said.
Muslims make up about 97 percent of Pakistans people, while Hindus make up 1.5 percent, and Christians 1.7 percent. According to U.S.-based International Christian Concern, Christian girls are frequently kidnapped, raped, molested, converted, and in some cases killed by Muslims. Although complaints have been registered with the police, they reportedly do not take effective action against the assailants.

Yes Jesus Christ our God of love, peace, joy, salvation and forgiveness. But Prophet of Islam is seen as one who is sowing seeds of hatred, rape, abductions, forced marriages of underaged abducted little girls, what a comparison!! oh Lord !. I doubt Prophet Mohamed wanted the Tabliban or his muslims of Pakistan and other regions in the world to use his name and undertake villany in converting people by force and mis-interpreting the Koran, its high time the learned clerics of the Muslim world came down hard on these tyrants failing which you will see more moderate and peace loving Muslims turning to a loveing and living God in Jesus Christ as is presently evident in this world..

Yes, I posted to the right article. You are not "listening" to what I am saying.
Emotions get the better of us. But God doesn't work according to our emotions.
God works according to His Glory and His Honor. And the bible tells us that nothing is more important.
Please imagine a child from your family who one day simply disappears. Imagine it's our child, if you have one, or a dear niece, a little sister... You are franticly looking for them. They are simply gone. Finally after a time you find out that this little one, that you love, has been taken, and repeatedly raped, "married" even though they are still a child to a stranger, perhaps young or perhaps an old man, and they have been forced to "convert" to Islam. They are now a member of a Muslim family. They are married and have been brutalized. In most cases they are never returned to you since they are now theirs. If the child wants to return to their own faith they are subject to sharia law which calls for their death for leaving Islam. The family they are now with has the right to beat them or kill them, after all they are in a Muslim country and women (or in these cases little girls) are considered property that's "of half the worth" of a male.
So now imagine a person asking the question....."Is this any different then Christian missionaries converting people of other faiths? "
It's hard to imagine the mindset of a person who could compare a person simply telling others of Jesus, and the atrocities above, atrocities that are taking place daily all over the Muslim world. Is there a difference? If you can't see one, one can only feel pity for you.
Is this any different then christian missionaries converting people of other faiths?
Very sad truth.... in Western countries Christians don't know the freedom they have and they misuse even to the point of doing whatever they want....
"Suffer the little ones to come unto me, for such is the Kingdom of Heaven" The Lord God has quite a bit to say about those who abuse children in any way! They will answer to God for their acts. The Lord God also knows when someone is being forced to do something against his/her on will. I was abused as a child, and it took many years and the good Lord's help for me to learn to forgive, and it is possible, all things are possible with God.
God may allow things that doesn't mean HE approves of them. This is the world that Jesus died for (and I am part of that world too) thanks be to the Lord, I have repented and turned to Jesus Christ, and my prayer is that all peoples will repent and come to know Jesus Christ! "If anyone calls upon the name of Jesus, they shall be saved"! No one is beyond Jesus help!
My prayer is also for the Lord God to come soon!
Yes, a very sad thing to hear.
wrhalver...are you sure you posted on the right article?
I would imagine meccan islam would totally denounce these unthinkable acts. Ecclesiastes 3:3 is the first thing that comes to mind. My eleven year old daughter would be a widow.
God works in strange ways. Nothing on paper confirms what is in the heart. God is with these children.
I'm sure Joseph wouldn't have chosen his course, but God was with him.
This is when being a Christian is most difficult. To see this kind of thing and still love and turn the other cheek, to pray for those who do this kind of thing.
I hope though that it also makes the point for those who are under the mistaken impression that Allah and Jehovah are the same God, just with different names, that they are are sorely mistaken. They teach and want two different things. One is a God of love, peace and compassion. The other is a god of violence, murder, and abuse of children.
Unspeakably sad...
