“Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus and her best friend Mandy Jiroux have dedicated their Easter installment of "The Miley and Mandy Show" on YouTube to Jesus, saying everything they do is for him.
In the video, Jiroux, 20, who performs as a back-up dancer for the popular teen star, reads a question from a fan who asked if the girls were Christian.
The squeaky-clean duo emphatically respond, "Yes!"
"Yes! We love Jesus!" says Cyrus, 15, as she nods her head in agreement. "Happy Easter, by the way. He died for our sins. That's how awesome he is.
"Jesus rocks! That's why we do what we do," the Hannah Montana star adds. "She (Mandy) dances for Jesus. I sing, dance and act for Jesus! ... Now that I think about it, I do everything for Jesus. We make the YouTube videos for Jesus. We’re all about it."
Her comments should come as no surprise to fans who have been following her career.
Cyrus, who plays a high school teen with an alter-identity as a pop singer on the hit Disney Channel show, has been very vocal about her faith.
She recently credited her family and faith for keeping her grounded in an interview with TV presenter Barbara Walters that aired for the Oscars.
“Some people don’t have a family to fall back on, like I have, and that’s when something greater than even that comes in – and that’s faith and that’s what I have for me,” Cyrus told Walters, according to ABC News. “That’s what keeps me strong.”
In an appearance on Oprah last year, Cyrus had also mentioned church as the source of her strength.
When asked to name her favorite Bible verse, she referred to Ephesians 6:10-11, stating "Finally, my brother, come close to the Lord for if you put on the full armor of God you can stand against the wiles of a devil."
Her most recent movie release, "The Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour," has grossed over $63 million. Cyrus' next project will be "The Hannah Montana Movie,” slated for a May 2009 debut.

I love Miley Cyrus!!! and also her faith in the Lord. I really am happy that there are private Christians out in Hollywood!
One point to consider or ignore. Miley Cyrus does work for a media juggernaut that recently scores low on the spiritual. Remember the rock group Jump5? Christian rock beginnings. I have heard their CD's and feel sad about the thin veneer of faith that pokes through the lyrics. Where are they now? It seems once you've peaked, you're gone.
Once the Disney options run out on Miley, where will she go? I pray that this Jesus confession is sincere. I hope that when the future arrives, we will think nothing of the past. Forgiveness is a grand benefit, once you really think about it.
I'm not going to judge anyone's holiness. The bottom line of this whole thing is that Miley is professing to be a Christian. Good for her! I do the same! But I'll tell you this, if you look at every part of my life, all day, you're going to find sin. Of course the same can be said for Miley. But, last I checked, Christ died for our sins. Praise the Lord that she is speaking about Christian things.
Lord, I'm going to publically pray (via post), that you watch over each of the people on this board. Thank you for each of them and their insights. Also Lord, please bless Miley, keep her strong, and keep her from evil. Thank you for her bold witness, may I have the same boldness in my life today. In Jesus name, Amen.
Feel free to e-mail me anytime smbga. God does take care of us most definately spiritually but that is not to say He does not know what we need to live in this world too. We may not be of this world but we certainly live in it. We always want God to move quickly when there is injustice.
But again sometimes it is hard for people to see God when there is so much injustice in this world that it would seem that God does not care but He really does. I hear so often in my ministry that some find it hard to accept a Jesus that does not seem to even care in providing something so basic as a hug and words of encouragement. One music group I love is Casting Crowns and their song If We are the Body. Powerful lyrics...
Nero: Actually, no. I suppose it's a frustration thing. Forgive me if I have spoken way too much. But I enjoy sharing what I know and then what I don't know. We are actually doing the best spiritually speaking than what we have in many years. I tend to want God to move quickly. He can, but usually not in dealing with individuals. God bless. I may email you sometime. Thank You
Yes you are absolutely correct. Generational curses are indeed a real thing. How many times has someone given you a name that stuck with you for most of your life. If there is anyone who is going through a abusive relationship then seek help now! GET OUT! You do not deserve to get abused. God hears your call and a baseball bat is not the answer either. God wants you to have a full life and one without curses and reminders of past shortcomings. Again if anyone is going through this situation then get help now. Email me if you have to as God does answer prayers.
smbga: I may be reading this totally wrong and forgive me if I am but is there anything the body of Christ can do for you and your family? nerohdam@gmail.com
And it's disturbing that pastors don't teach about generational curses. They are real. They keep a person from fulfilling their full capacity in life. Yes, my family and I sat down together last year and came up with a very lengthy list of curses and we prayed and broke them from off of our lives. And there are word curses too. All kinds of curses that need to be broken. But many are not ready to hear that. It scares them. There is so much that the church does not know.
Women like this have had a traumatic experience very early in life. As I stated earlier, I was very fortunate to be raised in a loving christian home. I was well cared for.
And something else that is appalling is that most pastors don't have a clue how to help mentally abused women. I have a dear friend who is actually addicted to being mentally abused. I told her that I love her and I care. But I don't care to hear her complaining anymore. I told her that I am convinced that she likes to be treated like a dog. Her husband doesn't want her talking to me cause I speak to openly. But this is a sad situation. I see pastors abuse their wives also. My flesh wants to take care of the situation with a baseball bat. But yes of course, I know that's not the answer. This world is sick sick sick. (Just something else on my mind)
Actually the Words you NOW speak resonate strongly with me. The church does have a long way to go in helping those in need. While I have not read Wilkerson I have heard a lot of powerful things about him from people in my church. And yes you are right that things can be frightening as you say to those who do not understand but we must make sure not to give steak to newborns as Paul stated.
We are currently reading in our small group aka Bible study a book called When Heaven Invades Earth by Bill Johnson http://www.amazon.com/When-Heaven-Invades-Earth-Johnson/dp/0768429528
Check that one out. Very powerful when talking about demonstrating God's power here on earth. Also a friend recommended Holy Discontent by Bill Hybels
http://www.amazon.com/Holy-Discontent-Fueling-Ignites-Personal/dp/0310272289/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1206627643&sr=1-2
I can just imagine what you all are thinking. :) Does this person ever hush? I can get on a roll when talking about spiritual matters. I love it. It's my life. I will give the floor to someone else.
And when I intercede for individuals (deep intercession) the enemy pulls out all stops. So I have learned to pray what The Word says before I intercede and it keeps him at bay. I do not claim to know it all. No way!!!! But thru knocks and bumps along the way, I have learned to rely on God's Word totally. Not man.
Have you read 'Set the trumpet to thy mouth' by David Wilkerson? Lord have mercy. I mocked him and his book 25 yrs. ago. But in the last 5 yrs. , I have a hard time putting it down. This man is what some call a doom and gloom prophet. He is blunt and always to the point. Yet seasoned with mercy and love. He clearly speaks out against all that goes in the church world today. Is there not a voice in the church world today that will take a bold stand against sin? God speaks to me in dreams. And also when I read the Word. I keep a journal of what He has shown me in the last 2 yrs. It is pretty frightening to someone who doesn't understand. I do know that there is a famine coming. There is already a famine of the Word. But a food famine. And something else that is not right is that most churches don't have a fund for people in need. I mean true need.
Nero: Thank you kindly for your encouragement. It is awesome to hear that there is a ministry (where you are) that is TRULY ministering. You and the people there are to be commended. God bless you. And for 250 to come forward to accept Christ!!!!! That is something else to hear about in America. I read Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel (for starters) and they were not liked. They spoke what God said. And no one liked it. This is what I am talking about. As you already know, there is only maybe a handful that truly has a hunger and a thirst for God's Word. This is what I want. No more playing games. No more ignorance.
