Hopegivers International Gives Hope to New Graduates

By Joshua Goldberg|Christian Post Reporter

Over 1,000 recent graduates from the Hopegivers Bible College program in India will head out in the world with a mission to spread the Gospel wherever the Lord commands.

Almost all of the graduates are former orphans who were rescued and raised through Hopegivers International-sponsored homes.

Upon graduation, graduates receive a bicycle and a small amount of money as they vow to live their lives serving God through ministry work and helping the needy in a variety of roles, including as teachers, pastors, and nurses.

Dr. Samuel Thomas, president of Hopegivers, spoke of the new graduates with obvious pride.

"I am confident that God will use these faithful graduates to transform and uplift a world filled with lost and needy kids, kids who were just like them. This celebration is a testament to not only God's covenant, but the diligent work of our highly skilled staff, donors, and volunteers who dedicate their lives to making a difference to those who are less fortunate,” he said in a statement.

"More than 1,000 faithful graduates will go out and spread the love and peace of God, and because of this many more lives will be changed,” he added.

The students graduated last month.

Vinod, one of the recent graduates, testified his love for God and of his hope and desire to use his education to help others.

“I want to serve the Lord by doing something for the orphaned, abandoned and poor children as I have experienced this situation and I know what it means to be left alone,” he said, according to Hopegivers International.

Founded in 1967, Hopegivers International is a non-profit and faith based group that rescues orphaned and abandoned children, assists the needy and oppressed, and empowers the work of the Gospel through strategic ministry initiatives throughout India, Africa, and the world.
