PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A massive fire has destroyed a Philadelphia church.
The six-alarm fire at the Prince of Peace Baptist Church engulfed the entire structure and sent thick black smoke into the air over North Philadelphia. The smoke could be seen for miles.
No injuries have been reported. It took firefighters over an hour to get the blaze under control.
Neighbors say the church's building used to be an elementary school.
The fire also tied up rush hour traffic on nearby Interstate 76.
