Prominent Abortionist Admits Abortion 'Cancels' Souls

[-] Text [+]

Dr. William Harrison, notable for being Hillary Clinton’s former OB-GYN as well as for performing over 20,000 abortions, has admitted in recent a e-mail exchange with a prominent Christian psychologist that abortion “cancels” a human soul.

“Anyone who has delivered as many babies as I have, and has seen hundreds of living and dead embryos and fetuses being spontaneously aborted as have I, knows exactly what we are doing when we provide an elective abortion for our patient. We are ending the life of an embryo or a fetus,” Harrison wrote in an e-mail to Dr. Warren Throckmorton, associate professor of Psychology at Grove City College in Pennsylvania.

“Physicians who save wanted babies from being spontaneously aborted (and we can save a few now that God once seemed determined to abort), and we who cancel ‘luckless human souls’ are doing God’s work,” he concluded.

Throckmorton – who wrote to Harrison last week after the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that South Dakota can begin enforcing a law requiring doctors to tell women seeking abortions that the procedure terminates a human life – said he e-mailed Harrison to gather his opinion on whether or not he believed abortion was an act that takes the life of another person.

On his blog, Throckmorton said that Harrison’s remarks were very revealing.

“Hillary Clinton’s former OB-GYN and abortionist William Harrison admits that abortion kills a human soul. He euphemizes the language a bit but the effect is chilling by saying he is doing ’God’s work,’” he said.

Throckmorton added that though surprising, the remarks would undoubtedly strengthen the arguments used in the South Dakota legislation that assert abortion results in the loss of human life.

“I was surprised [Harrison] would admit this in the context of the new South Dakota law but here he is acknowledging that abortionists cancel innocent human life,” Throckmorton wrote in an e-mail.

The ruling last month on the law passed by the 2005 South Dakota Legislature which requires abortion practitioners in the state to inform women that the procedure “will terminate the life of a whole, separate, unique, living human being,” sends the case back to U.S. District Judge Karen Schreier of Rapid City to determine whether the law is constitutional.

At center of the debate was whether or not abortion could be considered murder. According to pro-choice supporters, requiring abortion practitioners to inform women that abortion destroys life could be a violation of their first amendment rights to free speech.

However, it would seem that the “abortion doesn’t kill” argument falls flat with Harrison’s latest remarks.

    hlerwin,
If they didn't want a baby they should not have sex or use protection. Using your own arguments if a women should be they only one who decides if they have an abortion would,'t it be more equal to say that a father if not wanting an unwanted baby should be giving an option to sign over rights of the baby so he is not obligated to take care of the child if it is born, besides he didn't want the baby. See how ridiculous this is. America would never stand to let fathers off the hook that easy and theyshouldn't let the women either.

Anyone who states that murdering an infant is "doing God's work" serves a god other than Jehovah, our Creator. It doesn't take a genius to figure out which god such a person serves. Satan wants to be God. He influences those such as this doctor who also have a god-complex into thinking that they are doing God's work, when in fact, they are doing either their god's work or their own work. Either way, there is no suth thing as "cancelling" a soul. All souls are eternal according to God's Word. They will live forever either with God in heaven or apart from God in hell. Fortunately for the souls of murdered infants, their place is with God forever having not reached an age of accountability. Being without sin, they qualify for eternal life with the sinless ones. Though their murderers will pay eternally for their godless acts, the victim becomes the conqueror according to the mercy of God. May God have mercy on those who vote for and fund the atrocities forbidden by God's Word.

I mean, "legalise" must come from British influence.

gavulav, what country do you live in?

My heart leaps within me each time I read these verses from Psalm 139: 13 - 16.

(13)For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. (14) I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (15) My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, (16) your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

It's tremendously exhilarating to know that the great God who created heaven and earth also took the time to look at me in my mother's womb and to "knit me together" so that I am who I am today.

How it must grieve him to watch us nonchalantly killing babies in the womb and then having a field day doing endless debates about it while the abortion machine grinds on relentlessly.

I am blessed to live in a country where we believe that unborn babies are people and where no one will dare to suggest to legalise abortion or any of that madness.

hlerwin, she made the choice when she had sex, so if anyone should have the choice in this matter it should be the baby. And as you even said there are hundreds of couples who would be more than willing to adopt a newborn. With very rare exception there is no legitimate reason for a woman to have an abortion.

Also, there is no "tie" in the voting. I think that in certain rare situations the fetus's father's opinion might be taken into consideration. It "might".....

You've really got a big crusade ahead of you, ziswick(sp?), if you are going to go out to stop people from having sex. Good luck....

  • Thu Jul 10, 2008 8:23 am : 1 : 0 Flag

If the mother didn't want to have a baby... don't have sex, but the mother shouldn't be the tie breaker. At least give birth to the baby and then give up rights to the father.

  • Thu Jul 10, 2008 8:20 am : 0 : 1 Flag

Yes, possibly the baby's father, if the mother is sure that is the father. Still, if that man says "no" to abortion, and the mother says "yes," it's bad, but the abortion should be performed.

Having said that, if anyone is having an "unwanted" baby, please make contact with the thousand and thousands of parents who cannot have their own child. What a gift you could make to these waiting people!

  • Thu Jul 10, 2008 8:18 am : 1 : 0 Flag

    What about the baby's father?

  • Thu Jul 10, 2008 8:16 am : 1 : 2 Flag

I agree that life begins at conception. I also agree that the ONLY person who can decide whether or not to give birth to a baby is the woman who is carrying that baby. Everybody else, butt out.

    ChristianNanna

Planned Parenthood is evil. God will judge them.

Praise God that you had victory over that evil organization and your granddaughter gave birth to her child. May God bless you, your granddaughter, and her baby.

reading this article made me give thanks to God. A sould cannot be cancelled. My 15 yo grandaughter recently decided to keep her baby from being aborted after being pressured by PlannedParenthood and the hospital they are attached to.A very misleading name. I was beside myself with grief as the dr and psyc did a good tapdance on her head telling her it was only a lump of tissue and she'd get over it etc. I did a lot of research and had support from Prolife group.Thank God she changed her mind and I am claiming its due to all the prayers people were saying on her and my behalf.I found this website that might be of help to people in so much as a baby /fetus is a soul. www.cradleofgrace.org This would be of great solace to anyone who has had an abortion somewhere through their life.it's the abortionists who will have to answer for all their murders one day and soon I believe.

The euphemisms abound in this article. The word "cancel" is huge. While he won't come outright and say "kill" it is implied. The work of God that he does is when he plays the role of God and determines who lives and who dies. He's not saying that his work is "God ordained", but rather he has a very clear understanding that what he does is NOT what God wants a Doctor to be doing. Sounds to me like someone's conscience is getting the best of his "success" as a doctor, money in the bank and notoriety that have come with living by the world's standards. Instead of bashing this guy, we need to be praying that God will continue to soften his heart. This man has a serious platform for reform, if his heart changes....start praying fellow believers!

I looked up the number of people who die from abortion. Its about 1 million per year (we're up to about 40 million since 1972) in this country alone. Canada about 110,000. 40,000 in Czech Republic, 10,000 in Finland, 150,000 in France, 700,000 reported in India, 100,000 in Italy, 19,000 in Israel, 33,000 in Netherlands, 18,000 in New Zealand, 13,000 in Norway, 400,000 in Philippines, 190,000 in Romania, 1,800,000 in Russia (at one point USSR had 5.5 Million/year). The numbers for those 14 countries come to about 4.5 million per year. There are about 195 countries in this world.

4.5 million per year. This does not include China or any of the other 180 or so countries in the world. Abortion needs to be stopped.

But the thing is, even more than that, people need Christ.

    "Christian Psychologist" actually...

Neuthetic counseling (if i spelled that right) is a method of indepth counseling which says that the word of God has the solution to all of man's problems. People can resolve what problems they may have by doing what the Bible says (well, duh...).

So, there are actually Christian Psycologists. Is this guy one? Who knows....

As for doing God's work in this context...don't some sociopaths say the same thing? We don't do the work of God...we allow God to do His work through us.

40 million prospective Americans [aborted babies] have been murdered in cold blood on American soil in peace times and paid for with taxpayers' money. There's no way Americans can ever justify this level of state-sanctioned genocide. Satan is laughing all the way to hell! This madness must stop.

"Christian Psychologist" is an oxymoron? While I'm not surprised to finally see that opinion expressed in the comments section of this news web page. However that's all it is, an opinion, often used pejoratively, when reasoned arguments fail to come to a person.

GWB has said he seeks guidance from God through prayer. His Iraq policy has killed thousands, I wonder if that would put him in the company of Hitler and William Harrison? In that the soul is eternal, I find it interesting the those apposed to abortion, would use the opinion of an abortion provider that soul can be "canceled" to bolster their position. In the event the topic weren't so serious this would be hilarious.

It is so disgusting that he can admit that he knows he is taking a life, but he will continue to do it... How much worse can it get!!! I don't know if I want to know...

  • Wed Jul 09, 2008 12:33 pm : 1 : 0 Flag

I agree with artm; a soul cannot be canceled. It is eternal. The body can be destroyed on earth but one day, Believers will receive new bodies.

1st, "Christian Psychologist"? That's an oxymoron
2nd, "and we can save a few now that God once seemed determined to abort" God does not kill babies my friend.
3rd, You're NOT "doing God's work" Quit trying to justify your slaughter of over 20,000 babies.
4th, Hillary Clinton --- That's all I needed to hear

IT IS impossible to " Cancel " a Soul. The Soul is eternal. As far as doing Gods work, Where does God in His Word tell us to kill unborn babies.?

  • Wed Jul 09, 2008 11:52 am : 1 : 0 Flag

he says he is doing God's work. he must really love the power over life and death he feels he has, but he is just a murderer.
