How Can I Become Wise?

By Wonderzone|

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9

If you could have any one thing in the world that you wanted, what would it be? Money? Friends? God told a king named Solomon that He would give him anything he asked for. Solomon asked God for wisdom. King Solomon knew that wisdom came from God and was very valuable (1 Kings 3:5, 7-12).

Wisdom is knowing what is right in God's eyes and then doing it. Did you know that God promised to give you wisdom if you ask for it? "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God . . . and it will be given to him" (James 1:5).

Maybe you don't feel very wise. Sometimes you might make mistakes even though you try very hard. The good news is that you don't have to become wise in your own strength. God says that His power will give you the strength you need. "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). If you really want God's help to be wise, ask Him to give you wisdom. Read His Word and obey it. Ask Him to help you make wise choices. God will keep His promise.

so how does this grace apply in the real world? it does not.

'wisdom is knowing what is right in god's eyes & doing it.'
what is right in god's eyes?
bush is a christian & is starting a war right in god's eyes? is killing innocent people, children right in god's eyes? the evangelical right says so.

what about exploitation of the tithe? give your 10% & god will take care of everything? you see these pastors televangelist owning multi million $$ homes & driving luxury cars. they have strong faith by exploiting malachi tithe verse.

My experience with christians & christianity is there are 3 kinds of people in the church
the arrogant self righteous pharisees (pastors & christians) who are so religious, pointing & associating everything to sin - which is like 'right in god's eyes'

experts in the law - they quote this verse & that verse to look good for jesus yet they do not practice it

hypocrites - they would point to sin but they themselves would not practice what they preach.
by the way, the reason why believers miss the blessings is not bec. they lack faith but they encounter these 3 kinds of people in church that are a stumbling block & an obstacle to the blessings.
