Gospel Coalition Guides Thousands toward Faithful Preaching

By Lillian Kwon|Christian Post Reporter

The speakers' aim is to model "the sort of preaching through Scripture of which the church is in need while teaching the glories of this gospel of the blessed God that has been entrusted to the care of the church."

"My young pastors, this is what your people need from you," Piper, author and pastor for Preaching at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minn., said Tuesday, highlighting the word of God as the way to mediate grace.

"Your people get bored because they hear you generalize [Scripture]. You show me the text!" Piper exhorted.

The Gospel Coalition's National Conference is being held April 21-23.

The coalition unites a diverse group of leaders across denominational, ethnic and class lines who have a "desire to champion the Gospel with clarity, compassion, courage, and joy" and to prepare the next generation for Gospel-centered ministry. It currently has a regional chapter in San Francisco and plans to establish several more.

The "Bread of Life" is referring to when Christ will make bread into turn into his body in the Gospels, that is the bread of life that we partake at communion. Jesus is the Word, but in this case it is not the Written word but in context the Bread of Life means the Eucharist. John 6

Remember The Word is Jesus incarnate, The Word is what He says, The Word is what is written under inspiration of the Holy Spirit, The Word is the Eucharist-the bread of life.

Too many churches are too seeker friendly. Just preach the Gospel and allow the Holy Spirit to change their minds.

The word of God is the bread of life. For the last three
decades, sermons became more political and addressed
social issues, and to make the matters worse; the
prosperity gospel made the sermons upside down. As
Christians, we need to address the social evils of the
society, but the Preachers went to the extreme and
broke the borderlines. Now the Church needs a true
repentance and it takes the pure word of God, and served
    without adding any other additives.

The Apostle Paul never tried to change culture. He preached the gospel. Plain and simple, give people the gospel of the grace of God and preach it in any culture. Only God can change a person's nature and only the Holy Spirit in you can do anything. There is only one gospel today that saves you and it is always right. If you would stop preaching phrases and preach the cross of Christ and Him crucified then there would be no division among us. Stop preaching "another gospel" and start preaching the true gospel found in 1 Cor 15 1-4.

It was a balmy California evening. I had gone for a jog before I was to speak at a leadership conference. I still can't recall how I got there, but I found myself sitting on a curb
