What is going on. Last week our Scripture readings dealt with not being able to worship both God and money. Now this on the CP. Is the latest trend in religion "going green'?
I understand my role as a Christian is to be a good steward, but I don't wish to be panicked into care and up-keep. It is a great act of personal faith to use what Gos allots in wisdom, and ecological ideas can be just this: commonsense protection of this envoronment we find ourselves in.
I have this theory that, if climactic patterns are trustworthy, we should have a cooling trand around 2015. That's my personal prediction. What to do till then to see if I'm right, wrong, or still alive at the time? Practice good ecological management.
But let's not make a religion out of it.

Same for mine and if they did I would become a non-member very quickly. I am a bit surprised to see that Dr. Mohler has voiced his opinion on this issue but I am happy to see him do it.

The church has no business catering to the fascists, socialists and communists. The myth that humanity is the cause of Global Warming is nothing more then another way for the humanists to elevate man and to remove God. God has complete control over what is going on.

Did you know that Mars is having this same thing happen? Who caused Global Warming on mars? Volcanoes that spew billions of tons of toxins into the atmosphere in mere hours is far more then all of humanity combined has contributed in the past 100+ years.

What if this is God's way to make it better for us during these troubling times? With the ice melting in the North, it opens up vast amounts of oil that can be used to warm MILLIONS of people! What about the northern parts of America getting warmer? They will be able to harvest far more crops, and to plant crops that they were unable to do so before which will feed even MORE people.

You see, God is in control. He knows the future and He knows what we are going to need to survive. So please do not fall for the man-made global warming worship trap. Yes we should pick up after ourselves, and we should care for our planet... but not at the cost of human lives. Humans are far more important then a dolphin in the sea, or a polar bear having fun on a floating iceberg.

If we try to 'fix' the climate, we will only end up destroying it.

Thankfully, the church that I am a member of has not fallen into this trap.My prayer is that others will not, either.
