  What is generally described, as “the church” is actually today, many churches. There are the Catholic, Baptist, Church-of-Christ, Lutheran, ad infinitum. These “churches” have been (and continue to be) an abomination of false teaching since the “early church fathers.”
  
  Do not confuse “the churches” with “the faith” as described in scripture:
  Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 2 Corinthians 13:5
  
  “The churches” are the “reprobates” being described here. Paul wrote that all had turned away from his teaching even before the “early church fathers” had begun:
  
  15This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me;
  
  There was a problem in the churches that Paul started. They began in “the faith” but soon abandoned his teachings and turned to requiring the new Gentile believers to observe the Law of Moses in the age of grace. The practice has never stopped as all the “churches” have fallen from grace and have gone back to the Law, in full or in part, “making the cross of Christ to none effect.”
  
  Today there is a different set of requirements for almost every church under the sun. You are saved and sealed. God predestined whom He would save and love. You are saved but must perform, lest you be irrevocably lost again. There is no Hell and your loving God would not send anyone to such a place. You must be saved through the power of apostolic succession. The list goes on and on.
  
  If one of these requirements is TRUE, then the others HAVE TO BE LIES! They are contradictions about SALVATION, which is the most basic concept of Christianity! There is a religion for every taste and desire in every city.
  
  Today’s church “leaders” will not stand for truth or for “the faith.” An honest man would denounce the liars but today’s leaders accept them all under the umbrella term “Christians” even though they are NOT followers of Christ. What has LIGHT in common with DARKNESS?
  
  Must the priest absolve your sins? Is each one of your sins damning your soul until you ask Christ to forgive you? Has God withheld His blessings and you don’t understand why? Did you pray the “prayer of faith” that whatsoever you asked, believing, in the name of Jesus be done? These are the fruits of false doctrine that fills the pulpits of the “churches.”
  If you fail to be discerning in distinguishing “the churches” from “the faith” then for you, all is lost. The way is narrow and few will find it.
