Teens Double Dared to Start Up Jesus Talks

I appreciate young people sharing their faith with their friends as soon as they get saved. Why? Jesus could return the following day. To wait until they receive some form of education doesn't fit with scripture. When Jesus told his disciples to follow him, they dropped their fishing net and followed. Today is the day of your salvation. Not tomorrow.

I appreciate the kind words Joe, they are much appreciated.

Our Lord for His Kingdom can indeed use teenagers greatly, but like I keep saying, these kids must not run out and start evangelizing before they know what they are doing. Most of us have experienced the 'new Christian High' that is associated when we first meet the Lord... and the feeling is unmatched by anything else. It is almost like the way we feel when we fall in love with someone, or meet someone new.

It is a feeling of being completely free. I love seeing people who have just been saved... they are always beaming with a divine glow that I find amazing... and this is when the ministers, pastors and bishops need to start educating. We hold our babies hands when they first try to walk, we keep them from touching a hot stove or putting a fork in the electrical sockets....

So must these people need their hands held while they are growing in their faith. One of the biggest disservices to the body of Christ over the past 200 years is the amount of uneducated and immature believers walking beyond the yard and heading out into the world. They are not equipped to handle what faces them in the dark.

Thanks Joe12334 I truly feel that having people such as yourself on these blog/comment lines that care as much about subjects like this as I care (not impling that there are`nt people that probably don`t care ALOT more about it thn myself by the way,) I can actually be happy with possibly knowing the next generation may carry the "flaming torch" similiarly,...Thanks again.....And you also gotta figure that "Once upon a time" in the 40`s, 50`s and probably a good part of the 1960s and 70s it was`nt "Uncool" or being "Square" to care a bible along with ones books and lunch to probably any High School in this Country (Can`t speak Internationally,..I`ve over there in the service a couple times but don`t really know.....)Now,..However,...from everything I read about or see on TV you can`t even use the word
G-d or Bible in some schools here without being possibly being re-directed to special-ed or being on someones little "Watch-list.....

In my teen years and early twenties, I was a very bitter, cynical, pessimisstic, negative, selfish and sinful person. But then Jesus found me and picked me up from the trash heap and I have truly been given a new life. Now I seek to praise and thank God in any way I can and seek the most positive things in this world and find my peace, hope and joy in my Lord Jesus Christ!

I often fall down, but I continue to be amazed at how wonderful Christ is and picks me back up and cleans me up again so I can continue this most amazing walk with Him! I believe part of the reason I am here is to encourage my fellow believers out there and reach out to those who have not yet decided to come home. I thank you zenodaddy and da6383ma for your kind words!

Here I go again,..but thinking out loud again,...(just me being me,..I care about this though..)where does one draw the "Fine line in the sand" obviously,...over the past 100 yrs things have seeming to me (personal opinion) not better,...And not like I`m trying to get you to draw the fine line,...but Gee, Gee.....Hopefully you`ll come back to this,.....THANKS...........

I really do appreciate you two's comments! I admit that there is a fine line indeed and sometimes I do walk across the line. When it comes to teenagers and this 'call' for them to witness... if they do not know what they are witnessing about, then it will fall on deaf ears and at worse, drive other teenagers away from Christ.

Teenagers already face raging hormones and have to 'experience' everything... their whole existence is based on 'experiences'... Christ is not an 'experience', He is our Savior, He is our Lord (Yahweh) and above all else, He is our God.

We need to equip and teach these kids how to connect with other teenagers, but most of all, they need to be able to defend their faith with sound reasoning and a solid apologetical understanding. If a teenagers asks another teenager a tough question and the teen does not have the answer... the other teen will walk away, scoffing like mad.

These kids need to educate themselves about their God and in Scripture before they go off preaching to the world. Christianity is not a popularity contest... it is a family, God's family to be exact.

I appreciate your passion and fervor (also from other posts) and I respect your opinion and your right to your opinion and your point is valid here.

I hope you can forgive me for saying so, but, sometimes, there is a fine line between trying to be realistic and being cynical.

I agree Zenodaddy,..I don`t want to make myself out to be more than a "residential loud mouth on this website,...you probably won`t hear me again for awhile,...but I honestly believe that the reason why alot of people including the youngsters (personal opinion only,..just thinking out loud.) don`t listen to stuff like this is because some of it is too "Sugar Sweetened" for the sake of trying to vocabularize (on me personally) and maybe does`nt somewhat meet alot of peoples everyday lives or maybe seeming to them whoever they may be maybe a little too outdated,..like I said just thinking out loud here no more and no less.....Pretty good point (personal opinion)
