Based on my own research(Jesus Christ: The Missing years& the Mystereis) there is evidence that Jesus Christ spent his missing years in Egypt. The Aquarian Gospel based on revelation knowledge, gives detailed information that complements what the four gospels did not reveal. I believe there is truth in his travels to other places including India.
90210, oh god i am gonna remember that! XD
HyperionOverseer,
I still like all the Star Trek series (except for 'Deep Space 90210'), but I find myself having to suppress the urge to yell at the television when they start injecting morality based concerns for holographic images and walking I-Pods. I can't remember the episodes off the top of my head, but I think the original series made more positive references or parallels to Christianity than any of the later ones combined.
It's hard to extrapolate Christian alegories from a show that writes the afterlife to be run by a pompous practical joker, ("Q", 'TNG') or to spend eternity in a planet's ice ring ('Voyager'), or has a character that claims to only want to teach her science class "both" viewpoints on who or what lives in the worm-hole ("Kako", 'DS-90210'). ... Gee. Didn't evolutionists at one time claim to want an all inclusive perspective of education in the science class?
would you say Star Trek has some Godly elements to it?
I dont know where i used to draw my epic inspiration from on the subject of Star Trek, it just has a good sense of moral code from what i can see, i dunno.
RBB...
I am more into TNG than the original...although I do like the movies they came out with.
And it seems that "artistic freedom" is something that actors/dirctors/producers like to hide behind. I don't mind movies that depict "what could have happened", but something so drastically incorrect is beyond excuse.
I just googled this director. He's also just made the movie "The Secret", that silly book about getting anything you want by asking for it. He's just one of those people who can't accept the truth, but needs to fill the void with something that sounds like an answer. Sad!
Wow.... two fellow trekkies! Great episode of original Star Trek this morning...."I Mudd"
Look at that list of claims from the "Aquarian Gospel". Seems like a smorgasboard of a few religions we have around today. Will be a big shock to a lot of people when the real Jesus stands up -- and they have to stand up in front of Him!
mcfbc...you definitely get points for seeing the bright side! Seriously though, the reason I personally get upset about these types of movies is that I realize that many people will be deceived. Romans 6:1-2a reads, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid." As usual, the Bible sums it up far better than I ever could.
I don't understand why Christians get so upset about these movies. What a great conversation starter with those non Christians in our lives.
This statement was originally directed to Saul (Paul) but can apply to Hollywood as well. . . . . . . . . . . why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. Acts 26:14.
Prophet,
Trekkie vs. Trekkor? Ill bestow the privilege of defining the official lexicon to the socially un-graced subclass of mega-geeks.
And with that last geek laden statement, Ive now self-qualified :^) Its uh, *flips a coin* Trekkie
The serious part; I agree that they do need prayers. Who in their right mind would actually want someone to be lost for eternity? No one in Heaven will EVER say I told you so.
Or is the proper term..."Trekkor"?
hahahaa....muggle! I love it! another fellow trekkie! That is too funny!
But it is also very sad. I pray for those people.
Im sure that there is a reason why those years were not spoken of. Probably because they were BORING! He grew up a typical kid...being taught in the synagogue, growing in knowledge and wisdom of God's Spirit. Sure, He understood and grasped the truth behind the scriptures even better than the Pharisees, but He did nothing more than learn and grow. And to claim that His ministry began earlier than when He was 30 is inane. He didn't begin His ministry until after He was baptized.
sam--
right on! The Bible's controversy is nothing more than proof of it's legitimacy. No other religion in the world has endured so much controversy as Christianity.
Prophet,
>> I wonder what their excuse will be when they see Him face to face? <<
Maybe they won't have one. They'll just be yelling in panic for all eternity, "Computer! End holodeck simulation! ... COMPUTER!!! END HOLODECK SIMULATION!!!!"
well the buzz in movie world about christianity and the bible itself shows the impact it has on people worldwide..
so rejoice.....(you dont find stones pelted on a tree with no fruits)
First it was "The Last Temptation of Christ", and then "The Davinci Code", and now this. Satan won't rest until he has smeared the name of Jesus completely. Sad.
I wonder what their excuse will be when they see Him face to face?
