    From Indonesia,

Before 1948 Pyongyang was an important Christian center; one-sixth of their population of about 300,000 residents was converts. In the first half of the twentieth century, Pyongyang was the centre of Christianity on the Korean peninsula. A spiritual revival took place in 1907 (following the 1903 Wonsan Revival), and by 1945, 13% of the population was Christian. Because of these figures, the city used to be called the Jerusalem of the East. These are all no more.

Now in North Korea, there is only one god. His name was Mr. Kim Il Sung and his religion is currently lead by President Mr. Kim Dong Il, and their religion is called JUCHE. The core principle of the JUCHE ideology since the 1970s has been that "man is the master of everything and decides everything"

House Church Christian, i.e. worshipping God outside the state controlled churches are considered treason to JUCHE and punishable by death. In North Korea public executions of church leaders is one of recreational means for the militant atheists.
