  Where is this young lady getting her theology??
  
  I'm not Hannah Montana expert, but I have to question the degree of her "faith" publicly made evident in her photo shoots and concerts. Is the message to have faith in Christ...or in lockstep with the secular pop mantra: faith in OURSELVES. ?
  
  This all reminds me of a watered down Touched by an Angel episode.

  I think this article is interesting, but its arguement is totally overblown. most hollywood child stars were quite fine in their youth and only latter as their fame faded away did they become more troubled. Give the girl sometime for her career to rise or tank and then we can objectively see how she turns out, either for the better or worse.

  For her sake as well as her family's, not to mention her fans, I hope that she maintains her convictions throughout her career.
  
  I will say that just because someone claims to be a Christian does not make it so. However, until I see or hear evidence to the contrary I am content to allow for the benefit of the doubt.
  
  She needs to be very careful though as she is swimming with sharks who will be more than glad to take advantage of her and her fame.

  gavulav, that comment about "atheist" parents is off-base. How one parents has an effect, as it can lay a foundation - but not always.
  People still have free choice on whether to kneel to God or kneel to the philosophies of the world.
  What is refreshing, though, is a young girl who is starting to see her responsibility in that, whether she likes it or not, is a role model for others. I praise God that she professes faith in Him and calls upon His Name.

  It's wonderful to see a teenage star who is in touch with God and who acknowledges that her strength comes from her faith. She is talented, successful, happy and well-adjusted because she has God and a Christian family who love and support her. What a powerful testimony for Christ!
  
  One can't help comparing this child of God to other successful young people in the entertainment industry, like the sisters Jamie-Lynn and Britney Spears.
  
  I wonder what her life would have been like if she'd had atheists or agnostics as parents. Or parents who believe that science is everything?
