Displaying a portrait of Jesus in the foyer of a Louisiana courthouse is unconstitutional, a federal judge ruled this week, siding with civil libertarians who sued over the display.
Although I understand the rights issue I also understand the offending issue. The Anti Christ Liberties Union and others like them want to force their humanistic belief system on the population as a whole. However, I do believe Jesus would prefer His protrait so boldly shown on our lives that a picture in a court house isn't an issue.
Christ calls us to be His portrait.

True canadianchristian, We are not to worship any graven images. However, isn't it weird they are upset over an image of Jesus....more precisely anything that represent Him.

There is no biblical requirement for a " portrait " of JESUS , this smacks of Idolatry. If you want to see CHRIST read GOD'S HOLY WORD, we are not called to worship idols- be it portraits, statues, icons, etc. IN JESUS NAME
