  Welcome Australia (almost in) to the 21st Century! Critics - call yourselves 'Christians'??? Funny how you only choose to quote passages like from Corinthians... have you read the rest of the Bible? I don't see quote about 'slaughtering you brother', 'slaining lambs', sacrificing, murdering, etc. Thank god we've moved on from there ... How's about 'Live and Let Live'? Be a good person! Does it really affect you? 'Cast the first STONE...' . Have you ever had a 'bad thought' - then should you be 'persecuted'? Thank GOD the rest of the world has moved on from small minded bias. Who made you judge and jury? Nice comments Jade - if there is a 'judgement day' - let's let it be decided then eh!!
  Spent many years as a 'Christian' being Bible bashed - by hypocrites... If there is a God, let him be all merciful and loving and understanding... if there isn't, then at least I've lived my life to the full and happily, not in some false facade.

  Let's get back to the basics here: 'Love thy neighbour", forboding predictions of doom do little to show the wider community that Christians are a friendly and loving group of people.
  I have attended church my whole life, take my faith seriously and am quite aware of the passages of scripture warning against homosexual behavior; however, God decided who does and does not recieve eternal salvation- let us stop critiquing and condeming those who we fear and despise, and let us love.
  
  Remember: all sins are equal- just because we refrain from engaging ourselves in homosexual activities, does not mean we are any better than them.
  
  Bible bashing and the alike will do little to show these lost people Christ love.

  Australia has opened the doors and the floods will remove God from the equation as well... It wont be too long before the term 'homosexual' is included in the definition of marriage. It also wont be too long (and if I recall has already happened) before pastors, or anyone else, will not be able to speak out against the sin of homosexuality.
