Nation's Oldest Ecumenical Council of Churches Installs New Head

The Rev. A.R. Bernard, founding senior pastor of Christian Cultural Center, was officiated as the new president of the Council of Churches of the City of New York Thursday night, during an installation service where speakers called for the revival of the Church.

I totally agree with his approach about definiing THE CHURCH. As a black Christian I was pretty disgusted with Wright's equating his bigoted tirades as being the so-called black church. The discussion is definitely needed.

I remember the first time I heard of him was on The 700 Club when Ben Kinchlow was the co-host (many years ago). I immediately respected him. I feel the same today. He has sense and the heart for God needed to address the issues the body of Christ faces.
