    CP World Report: Newt Gingrich, Atheist, Malaria Day, Northern Lights

    Two sources close to Republican Contender Newt Gingrich says he plans on dropping out of the race for the nomination, and formally endorsing Mitt Romney soon afterward. After winning five states in Monday's primaries Romney erased doubts that he would secure the nomination. Then the big question became: will Newt Gingrich drop out. Well it remains to be seen now.

    The Dutch government has collapsed after Prime Minister Mark Rutte resigned. He made the move when Geert Wilder's party for Freedom – considered far-right – withdrew its support for his government. Early elections are now expected in the Netherlands, as early as this summer.

    CP World Report: Chuck Colson, Romney, Keystone Pipeline, Saudi Arabia

    The U.S. House of Representatives has approved a Republican bill that will allow the Canadian Keystone Pipeline to proceed. The pipeline would transport oil produced from the Alberta oil sands to Port Arthur, Texas. It was previously blocked by President Barack Obama. The new bill is intended to keep alive efforts to overhaul federal transportation programs and continue the flow of highway and transit aid to states.

    Norway mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik has proclaimed he would do it again. Showing no remorse Breivik made the statement on the 2nd day of his trial for killing 77 people last July in Norway. He also boasted that he had carried out "the most spectacular political attack in Europe since World War Two.

    The man accused of killing seventy-seven people in a bomb and gun rampage in Norway last summer has pleaded not guilty. Anders Breivik claimed self-defense on the first day of his trial yesterday. Some have described the lone-wolf terrorist as a right-wing Christian extremist.

    Sources say Rick Santorum has agreed to a face-to-face meeting with Mitt Romney. Santorum suspended his Republican presidential campaign, and now Romney is saying he will work with his fellow Republican toward the single goal of defeating President Obama in November.

    For the first time, Egyptian Copts are flew to the Holy Land in large numbers to celebrate Easter. In so doing, they defied a decree issued by the late Pope Shenouda III prohibiting members of the Coptic Church from visiting Jerusalem. The Coptic pope, who died March 17, threatened excommunication for anyone who defied the travel ban that was imposed in the late 1970s in an effort to show solidarity with Palestinians.
