It is important to realize that God doesn't condemn His people having earthly possessions, but He does condemn when earthly possessions become more important than our relationship with Him. It is important for us to not allow these possessions to consume us.

Great peace is comforting to those who may lack wealth, but their central focus in life is God. It's hard for us as humans to do everything just right, all the time. We must try our best to have an abundance of grace and goodness in our lives no matter what the circumstance is. If we hold these open possessions with an open hand for God, he has the power to give and take away for His great purpose in your life.
