Susan Sluyter was a kindergarten teacher with over 25 years experience, but she recently resigned because she couldn't take it anymore. It wasn't the students or the work, which she loved. It was the inordinate emphasis on standardized tests that broke her heart.

Her resignation letter was published by the Washington Post and has become a rallying point to many who share her concerns over where the American education system is headed.

Sluyter tells her story to TODAY.
