Margaret "Muffi" Lavigne and Chris Plum have lost much to muscular dystrophy, including the ability to walk and breathe on their own. Formerly well-traveled, they each moved to the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, Conn., where they live under continuing medical supervision.

However, whatever was lost to the disease seems to pale in comparison to what they've found: each other. See their beautiful love story in "Good Night, Margaret," a documentary from The New York Times.
