Deryl Nelson was known around Chattanooga, Tenn. as the "dancing park ranger." However, when mother Melissa Parsons saw his routine, she was shocked and started filming. Parsons sent a complaint to the public works department, and they fired Nelson for "conduct unbecoming of an employee" and "inefficiency or negligence in performance of duties."

However, fans of Nelson are fighting back with this petition for Mayor Andy Berke to reinstate the former ranger. As of now, the petition needs only 58 of the 500 signatures required for completion.
