Yes, it is spiritual. All the battles of the Bible were if you think about. However, people have used physical battles before under a spiritual influence. Why won't it work again. Why should it not be tried. Why not engage for the sake of not just defeating them but protecting and providing for us and our family.

DRJ, I understand your desire and concern for safety and protection. However, the bible seems to really never talk about playing it safe or operating in safe zones. I think we need to be wise and led of the Holy Spirit in persuing situations yet, avoiding something because of it looks unsafe is a little... I guess I am trying to come out of my safe zone myself and engage a little more than usual. I don't want to tempt God, but nothing is going to happen to me He doesn't allow. I had rather die having been a little to forward for God than die to passive for me(self). Oh, the search for a bold but balanced life.

If they are elected/predestined and grace is irresistable what the big urgency? No one is gonna go to hell if they are elected. Why all the work if they are gonna get saved anyway. This seems to be a waist of our time and money.
Help me balance all this.

What a moving story. How sad. It is very touching. My heart breaks for her and her family.
One thing I felt the Spirit guiding me to realize though is to be careful using an ordinance such as baptism for the wrong reasons. That was sweet of the mom's desire for her kids but can confuse the biblical reason we baptise. Nevertheless, pray for them and proceed with caution.
doxoglo, I see your point but do you expect Mr. Colson to unfold every angle one might see an issue. When we learned about colors, we learned a color may look one way and have one name, but it may have taken other colors to make it. Some of these items you bring up and the one on election is a color that makes up the finished color. However, he was a bit brief on his explanation in reality of the complexity of this subject(IVF).
P.S- Am I holding out for the best in Mr. Colson? Yes.
Why doesn't the Dr. who performed this pay for their livelyhood? You can't tell me after working this extensivly with her that he didn't know of her status. Isn't it called pre-certification? Somebody tell me how wrong I am.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
