Unfortunately, this is further evidence that the American Church has failed miserably through most of the 20th century to make Disciples of Christ.

Secondly, there is no such thing as a Christian who does NOT believe in the Power of the Holy Spirit. Blaspheming Holy Spirit is the unforgiveable sin. Just as Jesus condemned the Pharisees who denied Him etc...He will condemn most of American Christianity straight into Hell...which is a real place, whether Americans believe in Satan or not!

Does Cizik know this - all creation groans, not because it is 'hurting', man, but because of the vile nature of the sin of man. Scripture is clear, creation is waiting on Christ to make it right.

Nobody should buy this PR gimmick from Hybels. He and Warren and the Schullerites are responsible for the 57% of So called Evangelical Christians (in last week's Pew Research Poll) who denied Christ as the ONLY True Way to heaven!! This is what seeker-sensitive really is.

And to show how "serious" Hybels is about making his Cross-less "church" more "Christlike", he had that 'great classical theologian' Brian MacLaren do the WillowCreeek Youth Conference this past March in Barrington!!

Yes! That will really disciple the next generation to Christ!! Not just MacLaren was there, but Dan Kimball and the entire usual suspects who are emerging into darkness.

When Natalie Grant says "I am sick and tired of people saying if you don't repent, you go to hell".
When all of this is happening, we get socalled Christians thinking Allah, Buddha and Oprah are god!!
When the media calls Rick Warren "America's pastor" and runs a Christmas special in December 2006 called "CAN RICK WARREN SAVE THE WORLD" and he does not ask them to change the title of the program. We get what we have in that PEW poll.

The teacher is on SOLID constitutional and US Department of Education grounds. If I am not mistaken, it was William Jefferson Blythe Clinton who signed the religious freedom bill that allowed this.
Not only is he correct to refuse to remove it after 20 years, but others should take note. These atheistic school boards will not dare tell a muslim to remove their head-dress or veil. Somehow it is always Jesus Christ whom they want to shut down. But they have been trying to remove His Name for 2000 years now.
One day He will return with a shout and the Trump shall resound. FAKE Christians and their worldly counterparts will run into the hills and beg the mountains to fall on them - so they could escape the WRATH OF THE LAMB!

Brother Greg Stier is right on!! I like this bold young Christian leader! After a week of sickening WillowCreek Youth Conferences with Brian McLaren, Dan Kimball and others; then Rob Bell and the other heretic Doug Paggett compromising the Gospel with pagan religions, it is good to read about a REAL BIBLICAL CHRISTIAN GREG STIER!!

First of all churches are to blame. I was a deacon for three years until I resigned in disgust. They cared more about building and then worrying how to pay the bills, than discipling adults. Sunday morning is like a country club, even if the true Bible is taught. And this is one of the best churches in town!!

You should see what the youth oriented ones are teaching! Half of all major churches in town are in WillowCreek and the other half are withering on the vine. Why? None of them are a praying church! The purpose drivel generation is coming out of High School and not grounded in Truth. Small wonder they will fall for any charismatic slick Elmer Gantry like politician who would not know truth if it fell on him!

You know Ricky has some nerve showing up, after both him and Hybels Seeker-Sensitive Theology has been TOTALLY discredited by non other than Willow Creek and Hybels himself!!! Where is Warren's apology for destroying thousands of churches and "Christians" with "purpose driven" heresies?
The message about the Rod of God is true. However, coming from Warren, it has no Holy Ghost power behind it. I hope those pastors already know this!! Maybe next year they will invite a real preacher like John McArthur or James MacDonald!

Every church is to blame for this! They have concentrated so much on buildings and programs etc that they forgot the Cross and the Lord who brought us here!

Secondly, the same seeker-sensitive movement which dumbed down the Bible, gets to now define it! Look who is giving the sermon on Wednesday - RICK WARREN!! Was Joel Osteen unavailable?!!

It is so-called (by the left-wing media) "America's Pastors" like Warren, Hybels and Osteen (WHO?) who are responsible for Biblical ignorance, which leads our kids astray when they go to even some of our best "Christian" schools like Wheaton etc!

So conferences like this are good at addressing problems, but they will never go back to prayer, repentance and the Raw Word of God, which is the only way to reach a lost world of our youth!

One last thing.....this is the coldest winter in years. These gentlemen's timing could not be worse....suggesting that they have been misled by the god of this world. It is still major cold and snowing in Canada!!

Revelation 3:16 shows the end of these "fence-menders"....the original Greek word for the word "vomit" used by King Jesus, THE SON OF GOD, actually means something more drastic. He said to those who have no foundation or conviction "I will violently spew you out of Me"....these Universalists have no part with the Son of God. There were never His to begin with, no matter how many books, TV shows or people are in their churches and their mosques too for that matter.

Real Christians who follow the ENTIRE Bible should beware of anything Rick Warren is involved in, period. The entire AIDS Conference, apart from the laudable and honorable intentions to stop the crisis, was DEVOID of any CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLE! I don't see how one can be addressed without the other. Oh the Warrens like to lecture Christians like us, without knowing what we do ourselves. Yet they would say nothing of the way the world conducts its bidness.

In the entire list of speakers, I can guarantee you there was not true message from a credible preacher about sin, lifestyles etc...Warren may have helped some people with his books at first, but where will be they be when the Trumpet Sound and Jesus Comes Again! His P.E.A.C.E. plans sounds eerily like some endtimes apostasy. How do I know that? The Name of Christ is NOT mentioned in its definition.
