  • Study: Americans Say Non-Church Worship is Fully Biblical

I fully agree that all that is needed to form a church is have a couple of Christians gathering and go from there and meeting in homes is often the only way, especially when there is persecution. However, there is a danger that it can be used by those who wish to ''do their own thing'' and be un accountable. Teaching can of course be dreadful or could also be excellant but there can be a reluctance to adhere to doctrine....and thats dangerous. Another issue which I believe is vital for a church is to reach the lost, to accept those sociaty rejects, to love the often un lovable. If one chooses who to worship with in ones comfort zone, the latter may not occur and thats a shame.

I admire the faith people have to be agnostic or athiest....although you can't be a athiest as you'd have to KNOW there was nothing else after life here on earth and you can't answer that till after tou die. We all need faith to beleieve in what we believe. Its just some people place it in the wrong things. But, the people who write they are athiests here this week, may in 2 weeks, 5 years or 20 years be giving the gospel. I was lost until 6 years ago, spent many years critising and insulting those whose beliefs were different from my own, be littling them. Faith comes from hearing the truth. The Word of God, so....all agnostics, athiests, muslims, mormons, hindu's etc can simply read the Bible, many muslims continue to come to Christ as they are exposed to the Truth. Why do you think the Christianity is banned in some arabic countries? because a Bible is mightier than a sword and its the truth that will set us all all free. Truth by being exposed to it and following its insructions, not mans. Its hard for anyone to read through the New Testement with a praying Christian by their side and a questioning open heart without their questions being answered. After all, Its supernatural. Our God (creator God, Father of Jesus Christ) is a God of miracles. So, i'll be continuing to pray for muslims and reach out to them as I do others who are lost in a man made cults, such as mormons, hindu's, bhudists....all eqqually lost and placing their faith in ways that are hopeless, unloving and crippling to humanity.

I think its important to remeber that there are many Christians who do not believe that divorce is a christian option and if one is living a life withy a fully biblical worldview and applying the instruction within the Bible to ones partnership...its less likely to happen. Obedience is not an option. When you have a chiristian on their 2nd or 3rd marriage, it may be they are not christians. Not all who think or say they are, are and you'll know them by their fruit. The hypocrisy from inside christian churches is legendary. But, thats because we are fallen sinful human beings and being saved by Christ does not stop us from sinning....Just because you are in a church does not mean your surrounded by christians but you're surrounded by sinners for sure! There are many sins...gluttony? why don't we dwell on that a bit more instead of always going on about a select few old favourites? and ask how a man of God can preach to us on obedience and modesty in all things....yet weigh in obese. Something wrong there don't you think?!

TheLord is my light, you think you cannot be a cult because you are the largest undivided religion on Earth. Thats scary talk. Mormonism is also a cult and its pretty big too....Size is not indicative of truth in fact we are warned in the Bible to beware of the crowded road because many would find the WRONG way, few the right!! Size has nothing at all to do with truth...just look at the mega churches to see that one. As for your assumption that I am a protestant? or that I may even live in America, let alone in the South. Thats funny. Beware of assmptive accusation. I am Bible believing, Christ honouring Christian and yes, the cross is empty. Why keep Him hanging there in agony, He is Risen. Mary was the mother of Jesus. She died and just like the rest of us, if she was a believer when she died in the SOLE salvation through the blood of Jesus, her son o the cross, then she will be saved but not through any effort on her part. A special lady chosen by God to bear her son? yes. Co redemptrix with Christ? to be worshiped, venerated and petioned? NO WAY. Without the belief in a Risen Christ ONCE and FOR ALL. There is NO Christianity. Think about it. Look at the bigger picture. Just coz many do something, does not make it right.

In spite of claims of contemporary Catholic propagandists, the Roman Catholic Church worships Mary. She has been exalted as the sinless Mother of God who was bodily assumed into Heaven and crowned Queen of the Universe by Jesus Christ. According to Roman Catholic doctrine, Mary sits on Jesus' throne and acts as His co-mediatrix. In the Church of the Mother of God of Polish Martyrs in Warsaw, Poland, Mary is depicted as hanging on the cross holding the child Jesus. Outside of the main Mary basilica in Rome (Santa Maria Maggiore) there is a large crucifix with Jesus hanging on one side and a crowned Mary hanging on the other. This statue depicts Rome's dogma that Mary is the co-redemptress with Christ, that she intercedes for men from heaven and aids in their salvation. Note the following quotations from the Vatican II Council of the 1960s: "As St. Irenaeus says, she being obedient, became the cause of salvation for herself and for the whole human race. Hence not a few of the early Fathers gladly assert with him in their preaching ... 'death through Eve, LIFE THROUGH MARY.' This UNION OF THE MOTHER WITH THE SON IN THE WORK OF SALVATION is made manifest from the time of Christ's virginal conception up to his death" (Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, chap. 8, II, 56, pp. 380-381). "Taken up to heaven she did not lay aside this saving office but BY HER MANIFOLD INTERCESSION CONTINUES TO BRING US THE GIFTS OF ETERNAL SALVATION. By her maternal charity, she cares for the brethren of her Son, who still journey on earth surrounded by dangers and difficulties, until they are led into their blessed home. Therefore the Blessed Virgin is invoked in the Church under the titles of ADVOCATE, HELPER, BENEFACTRESS, and MEDIATRIX" (Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, chap. 8, II, 62, pp. 382-383). False teaching.....well duh !

As with most cults, the catholic chuch has just enough truth in there to make it plausible. We have weakened our stance over everything in the church. For example, it was not so long ago that Billy Graham preached to the catholic church with a love and desire for the lost....which they are. Now Franklin Graham shares a pulpit with their leaders...and with muslim leaders too, so that ought to tell us something. We need not argue over right or wrong....the Word clearly shows us that from a rotten root, rotten fruit will grow and to believe that Mary is co-redemptrix with Christ, proves that catholicism is a false teaching and we need to turn from it. If you are so sure it is not, visit Lightouse Trails website and read with a prayerful heart a first hand account of a priest who was taken out of this false religeon. We are saved by Christ alone...not sacrements, Mary, indulgences or a belief that Jesus Christ dies each time a you partake in the eucharist. How sad is that catholics are told that Christ is perpetually sacrificed. Hence the crucifix I suppose....but the cross is empty!! Christ is risen!! Halelujah! and the the deed finished, in totallity by Him on the cross, by Grace. Amen. We are in a time of devastating apostasy and we see, sadly, albeit with good intentions but ignorance, the catholic church paving the way to the proposed ''one world religion'' . Rotten fruit indeed. As is the enforced celebacy of men leading to rampant pheadaphilia, hidden and condoned by the church for years. Rotten fruit. There have been false religeons around since time began and will be until Christ returns, those in them will defend them but we need to pray for them to see the Truth that will set them free. Satan is clever....few Christians pray for the lost Catholic church these days, its not pc. Soon we'll not be praying for the lost muslims either.....

Its a tragic event, one that many say is impossible to explain but thats not true. God already has in the Bible. We will be living in more and more fear as the time for Christ to return approaches and no amount of guards, police and cordons will protect us in these days. If you go to the mall and are save, you will not be safe at school...or at the cafe or the park. There is evil in this world. Is this lost young man in hell? maybe not. If he cried out to God, God would have heard him....He hears everything, everywhere. there is only one source of strength and hope and thats Christ Jesus. We need to show the world their is indeed light in the darkness and its Him.

Paula is indeed a sinner like the rest of us....however, she has brought this ''result'' upon herself and its a bit irratating to read of how she is ''so brave in her trial'' and how she herself is so bewildered how ''poor little me is sent such suffering''. Paula? you are NOT suffereing for Christ. You are a sinner, you are dissobedient. No mariage is perfect, no relationship is perfect. I suggest before you rapidy move on to marriage 3 & 4, that you read about the Fruits of the Spirit. This may be helpful to you as we are all told that we are expected to display, patience, longsuffereing, kindness, FORGIVENESS, gentleness.....etc. Have a read in the book of Galatians and then get back on the talk show circuit...Mmmmmm. I need to re read too....this wasn't so gentle huh?

We are alll tempted to sin, in thought and in deed. It would not be sin if it was not tempting. We do seem to have got hung up on homosexuality as THE greatest sin, I mean it is sinful, its against Gods plan for us, his design for us but there are loads of other sins too. Lying, stealing, blashemy....how many of us Christians spout ''Oh My God! '' without a thought these days and listen to those who say, ''Oh. MY. GooooOOD!!!'' and do nothing to defend His Holy name. So, i believe homosexuality is not the plan our creator God has for us, but, we need to love the sinner and hate the sin. We are do what God wants, not what we want. We'll always get it wrong!! He is the creator, he tells us how it is to be and no, sometimes its a tough road. If we are not in a struggle over something in our lives....where is our cross we were told to pick up and walk with? Life is not easy. But one day we'll go home. Thats our eternal hope, not that we will have it all our own way now. We are ALL sinners. Not one of us is worthy. We are saved by His grace and anyone can be. God wants ALL to come to Him but we cannot choose the terms. When we see someone living in sin, its our opportunity to intercede for them, not critise them. Its tough but we can do all things because He first loved us.
