Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)

In my opinion and observations, I really think that people are tired of the commercial gospel being preached at churches, pastors only permitting one point of view in their churches because of personal and selfish interest, and the pyramid authority system that is active in most churches. I have seem the evil all these things can cause and how it can ruin a person, a family, and a community. At the end of it all, in churches, a pastor's word is considered more valuable than a members words. How else is the apostasy going to enter the world if not through blindly and faithfully following men and women who we trust and have sold out to. No one would expect a pastor would lead you and the congregation into wrongfulness, especially not for money and power, right?
If it sounds good, smells good, and it looks good, then it most be good...right?
We need to be aware and study the word with a true passion to seek and learn what God wants us to know. Not just saying that "I am open minded" but actually being open minded. Many of us depend and trust so much in our leaders and what they teach, but at the end of it all judgement is individual. I have been noticing all the techniques many leaders and preachers have been using recently in order to manipulate and brainwash church members and it is sad to say, but as a young person going on nine years of leadership in God's will, I have seen tons of wrong coming from Christian leadership. I know churches are not perfect, but shouldn't the church be striving to be perfect?
I just want Jesus to return ASAP, pronto! It's too chaotic here already with all this Apostasy, church politics, hate, favoritism, greed, commercialism, etc... That's another list of reasons why churches are going to decrease in numbers.

God bless you. I am not surprised that Christianity is striving to find the perfect strategy to get people into church or into Christian social service programs and also to combine all Christian faiths together. It sounds pretty good but, I am also reminded of the verses in the bible that mention the latter day apostasy. Such an important topic for the church today but it's not even spoken of, because it will make people question a lot of the things going on today in many churches. It's bound to happen and will happen through churches who know the Truth or have known the truth but due personal or circumstantial reasons choose to go in the opposite direction of the Truth. I am seeing a lot of brainwashing techniques and hearing plenty of subtle strategic remarks, manipulation of information and emotions, to convince the church of this unity between religions, of false revivals, and to shift the church into a new paradigm of total loyalty to leaders and their church. I advice that we keep our eyes open and not go with the flow so easily. We forget that judgement will begin with the church, everyone is accountable for wise and foolish decisions and the intetions of their hearts (Proverbs 12:14). I found and awesome site providing tons of good info on how some (as in plenty of) churches are using Brainwashing strategies to run their churches. It is sad but it is true. I guess money has blinded many. The site is www.intotruth.org. I liked the Apostasy section of this and also the Transforming church studies. Very interesting stuff. I warn you, if you left your common sense outside of the church you became a Christian, than you will have a hard time measuring your leaders, your church, and yourself to the biblical standards mentioned in many of these studies. GBU!

God bless everyone in this post. I think churches today are not to be called churches but better yet faith based businesses. Most churches are ran by a family or two and business strategies are being used instead of God's guidance. If you've been watching the news, churches are producing huge scandals, because God will shine some light into leaders true life and intentions sooner or later. The main problem starts with church leadership and their intentions. Many passionate and humble people are submitting their time, gifts, talents, money, etc., and are not being considered for anything else but the leaders own personal gain and vision. The church still has the "we want a king" syndrome from the time of Samuel and Saul. The sad thing is that we are still choosing wrong. I have been in leadership for years and have decided to rebel against hiding truth to show loyalty to pastors and leaders with personal intentions. The church membership needs to really analyze their church leaders and view them in the light of God's word. If not, our kids and future generations will suffer the concequences of really cold Christian life ruled by Christian Church dictatorship. God will someday judge the leaders, their accomplises and partners, the church who didn't stand firm against them, and those who took their anger and grudges too far into their hearts. I am not saying for people to hate their leaders, but to not accept what many are doing wrong and acting like it's not. Our young people are seeing this as clear as day. Young people don't want shows, we want the real thing. The church has been rewarding the best fakers and actors, instead of seeing beyond the act many people and leaders put in order to get up on the pulpits. What ever happened to integrity and holiness and separation from sinful things. If the church keeps going after trends, it won't be long until it becomes a trend itself.

God bless everyone! I think we're going to see more of this happening all over the USA and the world in the Christian Churches. This is just the begining.
I think God is trying to show, not the world but, the church that it is time to wake up and be for real, real followers of Jesus Christ. People are getting tired and are going to start doing crazy things to show their unheard anger. Churches and their leaders try to hide everything they do and say it's the devil attacking, when in reality it's their past and present actions catching up with them. Let's be realistic Christians. God is trying to wake up the minds of believers to speak up and question the things they doubt in the church. Pastors and leaders that are paid by the church driving $60 grand car when some, if not most, of their members are starving or drowning in bills. How Christian is that? Let's go back to "What Would Jesus Do!!!" Who wouldn't want to be a pastor now? New cars paid by the church, mansions, tv shows, etc... Just say you're a Christian and talk about self esteem and Pro$perity and you'll be all-set. It's the new high paying job.

There are some good points to what I just read in this summary of the event. Ratain the good & dispose of the bad. It left me a bit concern though. For some reason, the more I hear about reformation, I also hear less of Jesus. I've noticed how leaders want to bring a revival through men's work and purpose instead of Jesus. I think leaders are re-inventing the gospel and Jesus to please my generation and the next in such a way that Jesus has become like a doll we can dress up however we want to convey our own idea of who God is. Now, we're dressing Jesus as an entreprenuer, money-making Jesus, Jesus the Teen. It's like the movie "Telladega Nights"...some people just like Baby Jesus! It does bring lots of doubts about churches in general. Are they changing the gospel to reach us or are they changing the gospel to fill their churches and make money? I fear that the generations at hand are becoming more like the ones that presented many deeds before Jesus and Jesus said "I don't know you!" I don't want a plastic, convenient, gospel handed down to my generation. I don't want a fake, non-transparent, gospel passed down to us. Teach us the word as it is written.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
