Since the Lambeth Confrence is next month, I am hoping that the 'Southern Cone' Bishops take notice of this article, and put forward a resolution to REMOVE The Episcopal Church from the Anglican Communion. Time to put an end to this nonsense and leave TEC on an island were they belong.

Wow, five pages of posts since I got to my computer!

Shimobe: As a born and raised Episcopalian I know all too well that not only do they put up with it, they actually PROMOTE IT! Go to my blog: http://abondservantofjesuschrist.blogspot.com & read ''Conversations with an Episcopal Priest" to see what the more liberal side of the church promotes.

    Stop-the-Madness: Just call her 'Jezebel'

troyg: If you are living in unrepented sin, you are not a Christian. The only gays and lesbians that are truely Christians are those that are celibate. AND...what we are doing here, it's not judging, it is discerning and the Bible constantly is calling us to be so.

hlerwin: If the OT & NT are 'outmoded' as you say, what are we supposed to go by exactly?

Chicago24: Let me guess, you are a modern day Episcopalian, aren't you?

Prophet: AMEN!!!!! (to your post on Mon. June 9, 2008 7:07pm)

troyg: Sorry, it is not just 17th century thinking, it's throughout recorded history... In the original Greek writings of the NT, Paul uses the word 'arsenokoitai' for what we now commonly call homosexuals. (Older English translations use 'sodomites', which was commonly used in the 16th thru 18th centuries.) The interlinear translation for the Greek is 'Male Bed Partners' or 'Male Sex Partners'. It is commonly believed that Paul coined this word, a compound word, made from the words 'arsenos' meaning males, and koiten, meaning beds or couches. Evenmore of interest is where he got the basis of this to begin with; from the OT, not the original Hebrew, but the Greek translation, the Septuigant. He lifted it from Leviticus 18:22!

As far as the RC thing... wouldn't the rosary be consistant with 'Mary Worship'? I mean 1 'Our Father' and TEN 'Hail Mary's'????????????

Bmore Teacher: Unfortunately it is not that silly. All they would have to do is require equal access in the church in order for the church to retain it's tax exempt status. There is already a bill in congress that, once we have a democrat pres. with a democrat-controlled congress, will make it a hate crime to preach against homosexuality from the pulpit. It is not a stretch to think that they will extend that to not marry same-sex couples on the basis of hate.

"The fact remains that Protestantism is the highest form of man-made traditions."

Couldn't be... we have had only 500 years to develop our 'man-made' traditions, the Roman Catholic Church had the corner on that market for 3x that long before the Reformation. What do you think the Reformation was all about?

Just because you were a Protestant Pastor for 20 years doesn't mean a thing. I know a few who have been that for twice as long as you and don't know half of what I know when it comes to Biblical Christianity. Heck I even know a few who aren't even Christian!
