Sorry Jay, I totally disagree. What we need to do is just plain KILL the stimulus bill!

It is terribly sad to read these remarks. Ephesians 5:3-5 pretty much covers it.

I also am quite befuddled over both the Barna and Pew questionaires. They seemed to me, to be geared more to churchianity than to true blood bought beleivers in the Lord Jesus Christ.
I came to the Lord in my middle thirties after a fifteen year struggle to disprove the Bible. When I accepted the free gift of eternal life, I did it whole hog. I went to Bible school on faith. And on faith I refused to say I believed in what I was supposed to believe in and didn't. It cost me dearly, but God is absolutely faithful. In the ensuing thirty plus years, He has matured me into what I hope is a profitable under-rower slave of the Lord Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, many of those folks that I encountered in those early years have become Rah-Rah shills of churchianity. At a time when it is okay not to believe in the virgin birth, the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the God Breathed original scriptures, or in the momentous events of today that are on the verge of fulfilling 2,800 year old prophecies.
I have no idea whatsoever of what to call myself other than a terribly gratefull Believer.
Having just had my message refused for unacceptable language that used a citation from Mark 9:42-48 I must say that I will not be back to this website. If YOU claim to be followers of Christ and reject His word like this God has no part in you at all. "Hell," is in fact Jesus' favorite subject whether you all like it or not!

About 25 years ago on an early but sunny morning I was walking around a beautiful small lake. Life had't been very good to me. I had lost everything dear to me. As I passed a Christian college I had worked at for several years, I happened to look up at three empty crosses on a hill. Suddenly, tha chapel bells began to peal. The melody was familiar, "The Old Rugged Cross," rang out and it suddenly occurred to me that it was Resurrection Day. The Feast of First Fruits! Yeshua Hameshiach had risen!
No Easter ever goes by without me calling to remembrance that day.
Oh, the old rugged cross and the precious blood that was shed, for without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sins. The lamb of God that was slain from the foundation of the earth.
Christ is risen indeed!

All sin as defined clearly in the Word of God is unacceptable to Him. The common word "fornication" refers to all sexual activity outside marriage between a man and woman. Fornication as an habitual lifestyle is clearly ruled as cast aways from God's Kingdom.
For anyone who says differently and claims to be a Christian, it is strongly suggested that you consult 1John and the Epistles of the Apostle Paul.

With Bible literacy at an all time low of something like 22%, it seems to me that we need to look at ways of stimulating interest in it. Whether this is the way to do it or not isn't really the issue as I see the situation. Neither is the fact that Jewish businessmen are doing it. We need to keep in mind that Yeshua HaMeshiach (Jesus of Nazerath) was a devout Jew and not a gentile. The real issue is: Will we pray for them to recieve the same skills that God gave the men building the Tabernacle? And will we continuing to lift them up in prayer?

My most ardent prayers are for those who desire to be true to the word of God. Our Holy Father has repeatedly brought hard times on wicked authorities who call evil good and good evil. There is no doubt whose side he is on in this unhappy affair.

Baylor's recent activity censuring one of its very noted Professors for putting up a website that supports Intelligent Design, and then removed most of it from their internal web is not really a place I would recommend. If I understand the situation correctly, the new president of Baylor only accepts the rapidly deteriorating theory of evolution. I have no idea what kind of baptist he is, but he obviously is not a Bible believing one and wants to lead Baylor down the road to secularisation. Having known some very fine Baylor graduates it is very sad to see a situation that now officially rejects the God's Word.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
