Catholics, Evangelicals and Orthodox all on the same page! This is a great document defined by all Christians as Scriptural TRUTHS.
May God continue to strengthen our bonds that tie us together as Christians. We have a big fight ahead of us fellow CHristians who exalt the Word of God, because the Secularists, Homosexuals and liberals hate the TRUTH so they will hate Him who we serve.
We must stand strong against false Christians who support pro-choice and gay marriage as they serve the Devil.

Glad to be a Catholic and not have to worry about this stuff.
We have been against the homosexual lifestyle for 2000 years. Sheep need Shepherding and thank God He gave us our Bishops who never sway on these issues.

As a Catholic, I am happy to see the passionate love of our Savior by our sepparated evangelicals brothers and sisters in Christ.
This is a great thing!

Believer,
Nice try. The Catholic and Orthodox Churches were founded by APOSTLES.
These two communions are REAL or TRUE Churches since they have all SEVEN SACRAMENTS, Apostolic Succession, True Worship, Priest forgive sins, Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, etc.
These two communions will soon again be one. Since both are founded by the Apostles, they cannot by definition be a denomination. They are both Apostolic churches.
Protestants on the other hand are denominations since you left us and did not take everything with you in faith and morals, thus having less truth.

Doesn't anyone else find it odd that Seventh Day Adventists go to Church on Saturday which is the Old Law, and yet they don't do ceremonial circumcision as well, or honor the Kosher food regulations as well?
Oh, I get it.....they pick and choose what they like? Aha, now I see what "Ala Carte" Pseudo Christianity looks like now. This is what happens when your leadership doesn't follow the Word of God as interpreted by the Apostles Successors.
How many times have their founders picked the day Jesus was to come back and it didn't happen? Too many to count. Doesn't the bible say not to predict the end of days and Jesus return? I guess they missed it.
Nothing like a religion starting in the 1800's based on end times prophesy and missing the date so many times. Well, at least there are only 10 million gullible people out there while the rest of us Christians worship on Sunday and will wait on the Lord's return with hope instead of fear.

Hman,
I see you get your facts similar to how you interpret scripture. WRONGLY!
Catholics are the MOST CONSERVATIVE and we stand FIRMLY against homosexual marriage, civil unions and gay relations, while calling all gays to live a celibate lifestyle or risk going to the Devil.
Our Catechism says your lifestyle is gravely disordered and is opposed to Natural law and God's way.
Lutherans, Methodists, Episcopals are way more open to your lifestyle and that is why God is pruning them and they are losing millions of members to the Catholic Church who stands firm on God's word.

Believer,
The will is not sepparate from action. Are you saying that action is not works? Action is faith working for the Glory of God isn't it?
You can't sepparate the will with action, unless you are handicapped and can't move at all. Action flows from the will just like faith does.
I think you need to understand AGAIN what James meant by works. Faith without works or action is useless. You must have an active faith or it is dead. This is basic theology.
Jar,
It is really hard to take anything you say as legitimate. Not only is your research faulty, but you throw conjecture out like it is Truth.
I'm not sure how you became a Pastor, because you've cursed in your writing, your sentence structure and thoughts are incoherent and the way you communicate your exegesis on scripture shows that you have not had any sophisticated scripture scholarship whether that be from your church, a school or seminary.
Your extremists views reveals your ignorance. When you do not have reason from a properly formed conscience, you become a radical much like the Muslims who created 9/11.

You wrote about the will: the power of making a reasoned decision or choice or of the controlling one's own ACTIONS. Actions are works, either good or bad.
Do you have a tough time telling the difference between Works of the Law, and the actions or works that reveals your faith?
By the way, the Pope has never sat on a throne. He has a chair of Apostolic authority. All bishops have chair's of authority in every Cathedral on the Earth. That is where Cathedral gets its name, Cathedra-seat of the Bishop.
No, if the SBC were at the Jerusalem Council someone would say "Hey, letting Gentiles into the Church is wrong because it is not in the Old Testament scriptures." Then Peter and the Apostles would have said,"Our Decision is from God guided by the Holy Spirit and it need not be in the Old Testament scripture." (The New Testament at the time of the council had not been written)
If the Christian church was sola scriptura, then gentiles would have never come into the Church. Since the Church was never sola scriptura and never went by the bible alone, we see a decision of the Apostles not coming from scripture being authoritative.
40 years before the scripture was written attesting to the Council of Jerusalem, Gentiles were brought into the Church by Peter's revelation and the decision of the council with him. This shows that men with God's authority can make binding and loosing decisions, that are not in the bible.

Just like a baptist to think they know something about an ecumenical council, when your church has never had one.
At the council of Jerusalem, just like in Ephesus, and in Nicea and any other place the Bishop of that diocese runs the meeting but the Bishop of Rome has the final say for or against.
You notice that everyone agrees with Peter's revelation? James closes that meeting on Peter's authoritative statement.
Every ecumencial council is the same structure as the first.
You know why baptist don't have ecumenical meetings? Because they split so many times before a meeting that no one knows who will come and no one will agree on how to come to a final decision.

Believer,
The problem is baptists define faith in contemporary terms, while Catholics and Orthodox and Reformation protestants define faith based on scripture.
In your definition, faith is only an assent of the mind.
In our definition, faith is an assent of the mind and the will(repent).

Salavation is by Grace through faith working in Love.
Catholics(1.2 Billion), Orthodox(250 million), Anglicans(80 million), Lutherans(70 million), Methodists(40 million).
Of 2 billion Christians including baptists and non-denominationals and Pentecostals. 1.6 Billion believe "We are saved by Grace through faith working in Love" and 400 million believe Saved by Grace through faith alone.
Faith without works is not faith. The scriptures say you must repent to be saved, so that is a work based on faith.

Online,
The first ecumenical council was in Jerusalem. I guess you think the Apostles set a bad example then? We Catholics just try to follow their lead since it is scriptural.
I think it is funny you go by scripture alone and yet do not have ecumenical councils like this.

As a Roman Catholic I love that verse in Romans.
The remnant of the Jews who are to be saved become Christians.
I will call them my people who are not my people = Gentiles.
The Jews did the works of the Law without faith. Christians are saved by Grace through faith working in love.
True faith has works. You must repent which is a work of the mind and will. The Two go hand in hand together. Abraham was faithful, Moses was faithful because they believed and ACTED upon it. This is what James tries to get across. Faith without works is useless and works without faith is uselss, but faith with good works saves not because it is owed.
Faith, hope and Love are the three virtues that defines a Christian's belief. To believe is to have all three.
To have faith and not love is nothing. To see the homeless and say have a nice day, and yet you do not give him bread and water or lodging or something that helps him is to not have faith at all.
Real faith transforms the person. Your works built by God's grace expose your faith and cooperation with Grace.

That is so interesting Online that you should say that, since the New Testament Church is the Catholic Church and always has been. Scripturally and Historically proven.
You will notice that all the Ecumenical councils, the Bishop of Rome had to approve the findings.
The New Testament Church was the Catholic Church in Seminal form; then over the years as the church matured doctrines had to be defined because the beliefs of Christianity were attacked.
The Catholic Church defined the nature of Christ because that was attacked, defined the books in the New Testament because that was attacked, defined the Trinity because that was attacked, etc.
Online, that New Testament church you describe with Bishops, Priests and Deacons with Churches throughout the World all getting together at an ecumenical council where the bishop of Rome had to approve or reject the findings of the council. SOUNDS PRETTY CATHOLIC TO ME. It doesn't sound like anything close to Protestantism does it?
You guys don't have bishops, don't meet in ecumenical councils, have no bishop of rome as the final authority. No, you guys have pastors you may get together to discuss doctrine, but if someone doesn't like it they can simply say,"Only I am led by the Holy Spirit so I will start a new church based on my interpretation."

If you reject the divinity of Christ, humanity of Christ, the Trinity, the virgin birth, Jesus is the only son of God, salvation is only through Jesus and no one else, saved by Grace, then can you be saved if you reject these basic doctrines of Christianity?
All these doctrines were defined by the Catholic Church. If you accept these doctrines then you are more Catholic than anything else.

Online,
Those who keep the Word of God are followers of Christ. This remnant spoken of in Revelation is the group of Christians that stand firmly loyal to Christ as their Savior and God.
This means that many will fall away at the end and true believers will stand firm.
I personally believe many Christians in the Catholic Church and Protestant Churches will fall away. John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi and others like them have fallen away from the faith and hopefully before they die they reconcile with God.
The Remnant of the Future, does not imply a consistent remnant of the past either. God gave the apostles authority in His name, and these apostles gave their God given authority to Bishops and so on.
Yes, the world needs doctrines so that people know what we believe and why. If you leave it loosy goosy, then anyone can call themselves a Christian since their is no foundation of belief.
Do you think somone who rejects the Trinity or divinity of Christ will be saved online? These are doctrines that are pretty important, can you be saved while rejecting these doctrines?

TL,
To say the Catholic Church is the beast shows that you really don't know what the Catholic faith teaches.
I also don't know why you call God Yahweh either since, we Christians call Him God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We also don't call him Yeshua, we call him Jesus in the Western world.
Stop trying to be cool, it aint working.
Lastly, Since the majority of what Christianity believes was defined by the Catholic Church and if we are supposedly apostate, then what does that make you since you accept what we defined as Truth.

The Goal of the Catholic Church is to make disciples of all nations as the Word of God commands us.
To not evangelize the world on behalf of Christ is to be apostate.
We must do what God commands.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
