Saul, Saul why do you persecute me? When you attack the Catholic Church you attack Christ. Christ and the Church are one, so we defend her as the bride of Christ.

Wow, usasoccer with Christian brothers like you who needs enemies. Saying Thick scull? Both MSN and IHS have more degrees in Theology from evangelical Seminaries, than you have socks. I have learned a lot from them, especially MSN. "The more distant you are from the source, the more watered down the message becomes."

Sheep need Shepherding, and thus this is why we have Bishops with Apostolic authority. They are infallible when they are joined with the Bishop of Rome in common faith and morals. While there will always be some Priests who don't think having homosexual attraction is bad and as long as they remain chaste then there is no difference since a Priest is celibate. The Vast majority of Bishops do not believe having this attraction is ok, infact it is disordered. If you have one area that is disordered, then there may be other areas of your life that is disordered too.

All Priests should be heterosexual. Lastly, What Chiesa was saying is that we don't discuss these issues since they have already been decided by our infallible church. While in most denominations they open this can of worms every 3 years or so, voting until the gays win and the Gospel is thrown out.

Most denominations are so a kin to the secular culture that they have completely lost their relevance.less

  • 'The Rite' – Dark but Not Dangerous

The Bible clearly shows Jesus and the Apostles casting out demons. We also have thousands of cases through the last 2000 years where people were posessed and then cured. The Catholic Church specifically referrs all possible demon possessed people to seek psychiatric counsel first to see if it is a mental issue, then to a physician to see if there is anything physically wrong with the person.

What really sepparates those who have mental disease from being posessed is that the individual will have a strongly negative physical and emotional reaction to Holy relics, Blessed oil, Holy Water, crosses, the Bible or being in the presence of a Priest. They also speak in ancient languages they do not know, have knowledge of secrets they could never have had access to, and have super human strength and abilities.

There are minor demons, which may be exorcized by any Baptized person who is strong in their faith and who is very holy. Major Demons on the other hand can only be exorcized by a Catholic or Orthodox Priest or Bishop. Only the Catholic and Orthodox Churches have valid Apostolic ordinations coming from Christ through the Apostles. Their authority to act as "en persona Christi", is the authority by Christ to act with His divine authority. This person must also be extremely holy and able to perservere physically and mentally through this horrific situation.less

  • Franklin Graham: The Spirit of Anti-Christ Is Everywhere

foreveralive, pope paul vi lived in the 1960's. It was pope bonaface viii who wrote that bull of unam sanctam. That statement didn't begin the inquisition, it was king Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain who started it. Oh and this bull of unam sanctam, was originally stated by Saint Cyprian of Catharge in the 3rd century and he was an eastern bishop, not roman. just fyi.

Catholics flock to see the Pope because he is the Head of Christ's Church. So, it is not the superficiality of his personality but rather the office he holds given to him through Apostolic succession. Now that is powerful.less

The Anglican priests were ordained Catholic Priests by the Archbishop. One Anglican Priest opined, "It is wonderful to become Catholic because now I know for certain my ordination is Apostolic and valid. When I celebrate the Holy Eucharist it will be the true presence of Christ, rather than a symbol. I am overwhelmed by this joy I feel for God."less
