No, it's the evos who are the embarrasment. Creation scientists deserve just as much respect as old earthers. The only difference between the two is really how the evidence is interpreted. People need to stop being so admant that there can't be another interpretation that fits better than what's force fed everyone constantly.

Yes it was anti-religious, and the students should be applauded for taking a stand. They shouldnt' be barred from expressing their beliefs, as long as the school isn't sanctioning it or anything.

Besides, America needs to wake up and realize that things were a lot better when we let God in the schools. if we'd stop kicking him out, maybe we wouldn't have kids killing each other and beating each other up. As long as the school isn't affirming any particular faith or banning it, it's not in violation. I understand why it's pretty much impossible to have school prayer or anything but the schools need to stop being so overzealous.

Re one of the previous posts
People persist in thinking that God condemns people to hell but that's not true at all. It's not God who condemns people, it's people themselves who do it by rejecting salvation. It's wrong to talk about God having anyone 'tortured' because that is not in his nature to have anything like that happen, people do it to themselves.

I agree. People in India and outside of it should pressure the government to stop the extremists and uphold the laws, and whatever rights their constitution grants them. I've never understood why the extremists are so opposed to the Gospel anyway, why they feel such a need to resort to violence and intimdation.

I agree that he's not being convincing, at least to me....we're not to judge, and I know that, but I don't see either how someone can say they're Christian and yet not want to take a stand for the sanctity of life, all life, and how he can support gay marriage, which I believe is unbiblical as well. Actions though, as was already said, are of great importance as well, and I do believe he's playing dirty politics.

I think education and outreach can help a lot...it seems to me that there are far too many unwanted pregnanacies because people are too open and free with intercourse. (Not sure if the S word is allowed here) Teens in particular and people in general aren't aware of the consequences of their actions, and often feel pressured to "do it".

I also think a change in culture is needed; it's time for society to wake up and stop seeing unborn children as somehow less than human, as less valuable than born humans. People need to accept the reality that they're human, and that it's wrong to kill them, unless the mother's life is at risk.

Still it always sickens me when politicians can go on and on about the mother's rights or women's rights....I would love to see people ask them "what about the child's rights? Don't they matter at all? Doesn't the child the mother is carrying have any value or meaning? Why is it less important to you than the woman? Why don't you think it also deserves protection?"

The one comment I'll make is that it is a mistake to assume that people can't believe in both God and an old-earth view...I personally have young earth leanings but don't in any way think holding one view over the other makes a Christian more or less a Christian.

  • Exclusivity of Christ Still Controversial Today

I agree with DavidJ on the one matter. Educate yourself before you make false claims. We *do* understand science and are *not* 'flat-earthers' or anything like that. People should stop equating a belief in a young earth with being anti-science or ignorant or stupid. It's the same science old-earthers use, the evidence is just interpreted differently and the conclusions are different. I assure that many Christians, no matter whether they believe in a young earth or old, are extremely intelligent and well educated, and completely embrace science. But that does not mean that we can't have faith, and that supernatural things can't be real at the same time.

No, don't, because it's not a book of 'myths', it's a book of truth.

PS it doesn't stand in the way of science, many scientists are beleivers, at least in God if not Christianity so that's an obvious falsehood. Faith and science are perfectly capable of coexisting.

I think that if the kids aren't pulled out, they need to stand up in class and dare to speak the truth, even if they do get in trouble. If enough of them took a stand right there in class, someone would have to listen.
