There are plenty of muslim countries where Sharia law is practiced. If they're so mad keen to live by those laws then let them move there. It's about time we started being a bit more proud of our british heritage and weren't bending over backwards to appease these people.
I don't consider the Archbishop to be a true and faithful servant of the Lord so I expect nothing less from him really.
Im kinda surpirsed to see Yolanda King in there. Im not convinced that her beliefs marry with the Christian faith or the gospel as told in the Scriptures... but only God knows the heart.
"I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead, and they will hear my voice, and there will be one flock, one shepherd." John 10:16
Agreed - and Christ is our Shepherd no earthly man.

Passion of Christ an authentic film??
I think the person who made that comment needs to read the Biblical version.
Mel Gibson always stated that his version of the Passion was based not on scripture alone but on the 'vision' of a Roman Catholic mystic by the name of Anne Catherine Emmerich and recorded in a book called The Dolorous Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This movie is not an 'authentic' biblical account of Christ's death and resurrection.
Just because something contains 90% truth doesn't mean we ignore the 10% error. In my opinion many professing Christians are ignoring this error for the sake of glorifying one Mr Mel Gibson rather then remaining Bible focused and Christ centered.
Paula says...
"I often say 'I didn't write the script, but I'm learning to live it out with the best of my ability for the honor of God, with dignity, with grace, with favor, embracing His word."
What kind of excuse is that? She made choices and those choices led to this event happening in her life. When God writes the script it doesn't include divorce - that is man's (and womans!) choice.
I've been divorced and it's an awful thing to happen - especially when you believe the Word of God and know that it is not what God intended. I felt so much guilt and shame - even for the numerous things which I had no control over - so how she can so arrogantly speak of her situation is beyond me.
I used to like Carman too.

Genesis 15:18, "To your descendants (Abraham's) I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates." God later confirms this promise to Abraham's son Isaac, and Isaac's son Jacob. When the Israelites were about to invade the promised land, God reiterated the land promise, as recorded in Joshua 1:4, "Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates all the Hittite country to the Great Sea on the west."
With this in mind, the land God gave to Israel included everything from the Nile river in Egypt to Lebanon (North to South) and everything from the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River (West to East). The land God gave was all of the land modern Israel currently possesses, plus all of the land of the Palestinians (the West Bank and Gaza), plus some of Egypt and Syria, plus all of Jordan, plus some of Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Israel currently possesses only a fraction of the land God has promised.
The reason some evangelical leaders are prepared to compromise is because they have believed a lie. If you tell a lie loud enough, often enough, and for long enough eventually the people will believe it.... as quoted by one Joseph Goebbels. We have to remember that historically there is no such thing as an arab palestinian people. The land of palestine was called such as an insult by the Romans who invaded in 70 AD. The term 'palestinian' was only coined in 1969 by Yasser Arafat - himself an Egyptian!!
Don't believe propoganda and selective news reporting. Trust God's Word only!
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
