Hmmm, this "poll" seems starkly at odds with the NY Times/CBS NEWS/poll (April, 2007) in which 28% of Americans think gays should have the right to marry, with a further 32% saying they should have civil unions with all the rights, privileges and obligations of marriage, just not the name marriage. (That totals 60% IN FAVOR of equality!) Only 35% say they should have no legal recognition.

Hmm, the headline reads in part "... Promote the Homosexual Agenda". Well, since gays are seeking nothing more than equality, promoting THAT does sound like a good idea.

However, it turned out not to "promote" anything, but to discuss and debate issues of concern to gay and lesbian Americans - SOME of whom are Christian too.

Do I detect a little bias, Mr. black?

Since when did one's "sinfulness" determine one's civil rights in America???

I came to this board looking for Christian input into the debate and see none. How sad. I do see a lot of name calling and judgementalism, though. Sadder still, come to think of it.

If only it WERE "clear", then this "debate" wouldn't be happening. It IS clear on divorce - Jesus Himself was agin it. Be that as it may, ALL of the leading Republican candidates have had at least one divorce. The same cannot be said of the Democratic candidates. Some "lifestyle" eh?

Now, having got THAT off my chest, the Camp Meeting Association fought to be considered SECULAR so that it would recieve government funds. Now it wants to reclaim its 'religious' nature in order to discriminate against God's gay and lesbian children. And with nary a peep about the other secual, civil unions that have been performed there.

Hypocrisy of the utmost level.

Upon further reflection, laforte, hermaphrodites DO have the sexual organs of both male and female. Does God not love them too? (Not that they have aa thing to do with equal marriage or anything.) So we must presume you DO support equality for God's hermaphrodite children, yes?

Interesting asides...

1. I had to "lie" to register. Apparently Christian Post thinks only Americans exist, so I had to choose a "State" from which I hail.

2. You can always tell immediately whether or not a blog is pro-equality or not by when they put quote marks around the word marriage. I am married, no smar-, oooops, quote marks required.

You seem to misunderstand the "gay agenda" (as you call it). It is nothing more, less or other than equality before the law. Why you would not support that is beyond undestanding. Doesn't the Constitution 'guarantee' it? (I mean, the Constitution you have, not the one W wants to change it to.)
