  • Christians Urged to Boycott Retailers Banning 'Christmas'

Let me suggest an effective (and fun!) way to get the point across to retailers. Last year, Stuart Shepard produced an excellent short video in his "Stoplight" series (I don't think I can paste the URL here, but go to www.citizenlink.org and go into "Stoplight", then look for "Merry Tossmas" from November or December 2007). Copy the link into an email, and send it to the managers of as many malls as you can find in your area. Send a nice, non-threatening note, stating that Stuart's video says it all for you (if you agree, of course), and that you'll be looking for retailers who share that point of view and treat the "holiday" season accordingly. Tell them you look forward to bringing your business to them and that you hope they and their staff will be blessed richly now and always.

On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
