Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)
Yeah... these old moral rules, youngster should put only a blanket over them and they'll be fine. I think girls should go topless in school to expres their beliefs. In the end what is the difference between wearing a heat and wearing a bra? And probably schools should provide rooms where students can mate since they already do it somewhere else. In the end nothing really matters, so we should be doing what pleases us, since pleasure is the ultimate standard. Enough with these religious stuff like: well behaviour, ethique, discipline, modesty, integrity etc. They just do us good and make us better people, arrrggghhhh!
I see that there some guys here that don't have any thing better to do but just comment comment comment. It has become a pool of ignorance. They just stock pile on the ignorance of each other.
I have come to the conclusion that there is no point to "throw diamonds to the pigs". I see that those who write here to defend homosexuality are not seeking truth, just want to debate. And if I am harsh, better like this than going into endless debate.
In the end, one verse from the Bible to all homosexuals, Jesus said to the woman at the well a sentence that aplies to you and me.
"Go and don't sin no more!"

So now the discussion is not any more about the clarity of what is stated on the Bible, but whether you like what the author has written.
Thanks for coming on that conclusion. Was that so hard? Would have spared half of the discussions here trying to explain self-explaing passages that you just don't like. Thanks for being honest!
Steve20 is this passage clearer for you???
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes ***nor practicing homosexuals*** nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
Homosex. man.... you so full of sh*t

"Christ not only did not speak against monogamus heterosexual marriages"
He most certainly did!
"If anyone comes to me and does not hate ... his wife ... he cannot be my disciple."
- -I notice that the opinions & views of some of the programs in the history channel are made up to sell their dvds.
Totally agree with you mike. Similarly they take any single rumor about the life of Jesus and Christianity and create a saga around it. And there are people who take these for granted since these are "scientific" channels. There are also good things on these channels, but filter and critical thinking is needed.

"Hope everyone has a great day. Even those of you like Edi, Mathetes, Wowie, believer, Jehovahnissi, Chas, Slacker, Hyperion, Tpique1, Daniel Paul, and Brit who are calling for drugged up street thugs to drag me out of my house and murder me.
That's quite a chorus of murder isn't it. MURDER MURDER MURDER, the Bible tells you so.
And even those of you who are teaching children in Sunday School to murder me. After all, it's right there in the Bible!"
- To homosex man, I think you're becoming so pathetic now! There's no point in continuing discussion with a Christiano-phobic so I am leaving you with what Jesus (the guy who Christians have their belief) told to the adulterous woman, GO AND DON'T SIN NO MORE!

""Gay people can't just refuse to acknowledge the verses in the Bible against homosexual behavior and simply state that God is love and that we should love and not hate each other."
Why not? Isn't that what most Christians really do, pick and choose what parts of the superstitions to follow and what parts to discount or ignore? Divorce is great example.
- So what? It is a shame for the nation who go to church in big numbers and then have big % on divorce. It only proves what the Bible says that the faith without deeds is a dead faith.
If only the belief in the FULL, LITERAL, ABSOLUTE, PERFECT One True Word of God makes one a Christan, then only about 20% of Americans are Christian. Maybe even less."
Even an atheist can see the truth when it comes to the state of the Church.
We, brothers and sisters need to wake up and repent of going along with luke warm Christendom and fight against the wolves and false prophets.
-Jesus prayed for us to be one not to be the same, so of course that there are differences on the Christian thinking, but not for the major issues and like Trinity etc. So homosexual relations are sinful as the Bible clearly shows and Catholics, Orthodox and mainline protestants agree.

Gay people can't just refuse to acknowledge the verses in the Bible aggainst homosexual behaviour and simply state that God is love and that we should love and not hate each other.
True Christians in rebuking the gay behaviour are not hating the person but the sinful act of that person. Jesus told to the adulterous woman GO AND DON'T SIN NO MORE!

To homosex man:
- your comment on the broad way agg the narrow is out of context. In that way every majority of people on any issue would be evil. Nonsense. Jesus was referring the broad way to the people who would not believe God and follow his teachings.

The feelings of man's heart many times deceive. So our feeling is not the standard for being in a good relation to God. The Bible is the standard. If the Bible says that homosexuality is a sin than it is a sin. One day you feel good about a certain thing and the other day not. So feeling should not prevail over the Word of God.

I hope that Christian Churches should come out with a new Creed with a firm stand on man-woman traditional family and non-gay clergy.
What about the Roman Catholic and Christian Orthodoxy? They might have their problems, but they are clear the homosexual behaviour is a sin.

It seems that all the denominations with an ecclesiastical hierarchy have gone apostate. I believe it's a power thing. Power corrupts everything it touches.

In WWII since a good part of the protestant church in Germany aligned itself with the natzies, those who were faithful to the Gospel established the Confessing Church. Now the church in the west seems to be under the presure of secularism, relativism and a bunch of other ideologies that want to conform the Gospel to their message. On one hand I pray for faithful churches to opose strongly as unbiblical the gay ordination thing, on the other hand I hope that the another schism would be avoided.

I wander what's next on clergy ordination. Maybe in 10 yrs they are going to allow preachers who have sexual relation with animals, as long as the preacher "loves" Jesus and this too has to be seen as "diversity" in the church. SHAME SHAME SHAME.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
