I love people from the emerging church. I love traditional evangelicals. I hate reading about this kind of division within the church. Let's celebrate our differences and try to act like a body.

If Mr. Connor doesn't like soft language like "ending their life in a humane and dignified manner", he shouldn't be throwing around words like "killing" or "pro-death" either. Be consistent.

Otherwise, I respect Mr. Connor's arguments but personally don't believe the issue is so black and white. Jesus didn't directly address the issue and neither does the Bible. I don't think I would ever choose to end my life. But having a father who did, I understand where the "death with dignity" people are coming from.

I'm tired of the Episcopal Church acting like they've taken the high road in this. Jefferts Schori says, "Anglicanism has always been broader than some find comfortable." Nope. It's just the Episcopal Church. At the last Lambeth conference, the proposal to ordain active homosexuals was voted down 506 to 2. The Episcopal Church rejected the Anglican Communion first. At that moment, an ultimatum should have been issued to the rogue province.

I finished Save Me From Myself last night. It was a decent book. It's obvious that Welch is new to writing. It's also obvious Welch hasn't been a Christian very long. His testimony is powerful, however. I look forward to getting this book into the hands of the kids I work with. They're Korn fans and also meth addicts.
