I am an Oklahoma Sooners fan...period. I wanted OU to win big. That being said, the OU loss feels better to me, knowing that a man who knows my Savior led the other team to victory. Congratulations, Tebow. We'll be watching you.

It is a beautiful thing, to not have to defend my faith to atheists. I have no apologies for believing in the Eternal God of the Universe, and in Jesus Christ, His Son. I think atheists need to defend their unbelief. It makes me sad that so many people want "proof" of God, when they cannot even prove themselves. There is no hope in atheism. Neither is there reality. There is only...nothing.

mburrell, I simply wait in comfort and assurance. If the Bible is true, and God is real, then I will see Him with my own eyes after I die. If I am wrong, and there is no God, then what have I to be concerned about? Atheist evangelists make me laugh. Why do you even care? Your "truth" leads to nothing, and your eyes are blind to the obvious. Can the created tell the creator He does not exist? Say what you must, but just wait. Hopefully, your waiting will bring you to an encounter with the truth. Hmmm...I am sure you hated that response. But, God is. And, there is nothing you can do to change that.

Who are atheists to believe that their view is exclusively better than the Christian belief? Who are they to judge people who believe in God? What right do they have to impose their views on us? I say, keep up the sign! Let it represent to all people, and even God Himself, the views of those who shake their fist in His face.

The atheist does not even know the borders of his universe. Neither do they know what happens one moment after death. How can he or she declare with certainty that there is no God? They can't. Let reason prevail! God is.

  • U.S. Christians Called to Celebrate Christmas Without Bibles

This proposal almost seems to suggest that the many Bibles I own do not mean anything to me, and I can just carelessly send them overseas. For me, I can give food, money, new Bibles, and whatever else they need. But, I will never give away my Bibles, unless the Holy Spirit specifically tells me to do so. They are too important to me. And, some hold sentimental value (such as my first Bible). I think Christians should keep their Bibles, and send new Bibles to the poor, in their own languages. This proposal makes no sense to me, and I do not see the value in following through on it.

Inxis, you stated that, "Indians are by and large the most tolerant people in the world and if there is violence believe the provocation is great." It is free India who gave the Untouchables rights."

I find a contradiction in what you are saying, as "tolerant" India had this caste system in place before Christian missionaries ever came. There is no such thing as a "tolerant" nation. Those who claim to be Christians have a very hurtful, bloody history. But, name one religion that has been perfect. Muslims kill. Hindus kill. Buddhists kill. Atheists kill. It is easy to yell, "hypocrite!" But, are we not all hypocrites? Do not all believers hate sin, and yet struggle with sin in our lives? Yet, it is the accuser who is the true hypocrite. Friend, be glad God is a God of mercy. We need it.

  • Black Church Leaders Gather for Pro-Abortion, Pro-Gay Conference

I say you abort them every time I drive through southeast Washington, where there’s a lack of health care...

    -------

Statements like the one above suggest that kids are better off dead than to lack healthcare, housing and opportunity. With this line of argument, why don't we just kill the kids that are without those things? Why don't we abort all babies in the inner city? Senseless killing occurs every day, and he has eyes, but cannot see. I think the Bible talks about men like "Reverend" Veazey, and it is not good.

Wow...I am shocked by this. Maybe he would also agree to prosecute those criminals in the underground church in China. WHAT HAS GONE WRONG WITH US? The church is dying from the inside else. Jesus help us be radical, or even better, help our children be more radical.

Sadly, we think the government intrusion into these churches is "their" problem. But it is not. It is our problem. If we stand idly by, while the government investigates those religious organizations, what are we going to do when it is our turn? What will we do when the gov't demands we be more "tolerant" when it comes to teaching about sexual orientation to youth? What will we do when the gov't wants to know the names and SSN of individual members who supported certain church projects? THe government is not an entity to be trusted. It is an entity to be controlled by the people, and limited. The senate has committed FAR more financial atrocities than all of these prosperity preachers combined, and those atrocities are committed by pulling money out of your paychecks every pay period. It is hypocritical for Washington to investigate financial practices of ministries when its own house wastes billions of dollars annually on its own needless concessions.
