Iam, do you remember last night saying that you were here for the entertainment, and to practice your debating skills? And that you did not believe the Bible, and are not a Christian? Well, a Christian's idea of making a difference in the world is based on Jesus' idea of making a difference, and knowing what His ideas are really requires that you come to know Him. If you came here thinking that you were going to change the ideas of those who belong to Him, you came here for the wrong reason. If you came here because you want to know more about Him, then there are a few of us here who will be glad to help you find out how to do that. But in the end, whether or not you find Him is really up to you. So, what is it that you want?less

I guess you would say I don't speak for God no matter what I said. But it was not me that said when you come to Him you put away the old man and put on the new man. Jesus' enlightenment is that when you come to Him, you put on a new man. That equals change. He's there to help you through it. Cultures are continually changing -- God does not change His mind though.

And of course prostitution, fornication, and adultery was covered more extensively, as more people practiced these forms of sexual immorality. If the current % of homosexuals today is say, 2% in an environment where they are not stoned for it, how many people do you think really dared to practice it in the Hebrew population back then? It was mostly an issue outside of their culture, and there are plenty of references to sexual immorality as a class of behavior.less

We've been over this time and time again. "homosexuality as we know it" is no different than homosexuality as it has always been known. If "marriages" were unknown, then why would a law have been passed in the 4th century to outlaw it? "There's nothing new under the sun...." Jesus' words are as relevant today as they were 2000 years ago. Just because you don't want to follow Him does not chan...more

There you go again, assuming I didn't pursue the facts.....but I already did. And yes, most people DO know why people like you say that homosexuality is not a sin. However, you don't seem to understand why we say it IS a sin. You just don't accept our facts when we present them. Fine, that's your choice. gd, I believe the word you want is "discomfiting", not discomforting (as there is no such word). Why do you keep assuming that others don't have facts just because they don't agree with you?

Actually, Jesus told Nicodemas that you must be born again to see the kingdom of God. He also said "I am the way, the truth, and the light, no one comes to the Father except by me". That is being reborn.

wJ, you say you are Christian, a pastor, who gave his life to Jesus. And yet you have aligned yourself with someone who says they are not a Christian, and does not believe any part of the Bible. What is wrong with this picture?

The only miracle is when Jesus gives you a new life. Only you have to give your old one to Him first. My world has already been shaken up, that happened many years ago when I gave my life to Him. Yes, I did ask that. But what you described is nothing more than being in an environment. Being a Christian is about a relationship, not about being involved in activities.
