  • Anti-Theist: Christianity is Bad for the World

    God-Sent »

"what is it about Christianity that is SOOOOOOOOOOO bad?"

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God." (John 3:19-21)

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house." (Matthew 5:14-15)

"And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he [that] departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw [it], and it displeased him that [there was] no judgment." (Isaiah 59:14-15)

That explains why it's "sooooo bad"?

Want some science? Earth and Gravity (Job 26:7), made of things we can't see (atoms, electrons, and etc..) Hebrews 11:3 Our bodies are composed of the same chemical/material as the earth: Genesis 2:7; 3:19, the universe had a beginning Genesis 1:1; Hebrews 1:10-12 The earth is spherical:Isaiah 40:22 ....All I got to say are these people who wrote these different sections were pretty smart for being so " ignorant..." and that they "...didn’t know better" Also, he never mentions that Luke, writer of the Gospel of Luke, was a physician so apparently they knew the difference between sickness, demon possession, and how the person can become better of both. "Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas greet you." (Colossians 4:14) Some people really need to study the stuff they argue against before they speak.

Also, he shows his ignorants when he says it cost humans nothing by letting their sins fall upon Jesus Christ it actually costs everything including our lives. We must die to live. One other thing never pay somebody's debt for them is the philosphy we have here. That means if your brother is in debt and headed to jail and you can pay the price don't do it or else you'll be considered in moral by Hitchens arguement.

I find it interesting how readily he is to say he does not want to be held accountable for the things he has done wrong hence the reason he is so readily able to justify his sins because he is "not accountable" for them.

"And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by [the means of] those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. It not that there is a difference between God in the OT and Him in the NT. It is that the characterstics focused on are different. In the OT it was more focused on God being Just and the NT focuses more on His mercy and love. All the characteristics are in both but they are just not as clearly seen. All God's characteristics come from His love though. For God is Love! (1 John 4:16)

    Believer:

Many people of today's society fall under this category:

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto [them that are] wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! (Isaiah 5:20-21)

The point is people will justify whats is worthy of eternal damnation to try to make themselves and others feel better about doing it. They are lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of Truth.

With a strong scriptural understanding as given by the Holy Spirit. It is clearly shown in the scripture that there are no aliens in this universe other than the following which would be considered aliens: Angels, & these
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. " (Eph. 6:12 )

If there were aliens then they would be in need of a sacrifice because the fall of man affected the whole universe bringing death.

So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Genesis 1:27)

God created them "male and female" not male and male.

And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. (Gensis 2:18)

who did God make to help man (male)?

And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. (Genesis 2:22-25)

Is there anywhere God said male and male? No, I'm sorry but even in the beginning God made male and female to be together and "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. (Hebrews 13:8)

Here is a verse that can not be refuted about being able to lose salvation.
For [it is] impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put [him] to an open shame. (Hebrews 6:4-6)
Again, When a righteous [man] doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous [man], that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul. (Ezekiel 3:20-21)

It is sad how the world is falling apart while the professing carriers of Truth do not know what they believe and argue amongst themselves. Lucifer has really been hitting hard.
