Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)
Anyone who has taken time to study prayer and the lives of those you practice it will find that prayer does change things and prayer has changed the course of history. Prayer has changed my life and the lives of millions of other believers.
Should we not let each local body make their own decisions? There is no law or command that believers must hold meetings every Sunday. Notice it says in Hebrews 10:25 "not forsaking our own assembling together". It does not say what day to meet or how often to meet. Did these churches honor God with the Christmas activities during the month of December? They certainly did. Thus, let each body do as they see fit, for they serve the same Lord the you and I do and they can certainly discern what the Lord's will is for their own congregation.less

"Thou shalt keep the Sabbath Day - except when it falls the day after Christmas." Well most Christians understand that the Sabbath day command was given to the children of Israel and that the Sabbath is the 7th day of the week, which is Saturday. Most Christians have traditionally meet for worship on Sunday, the first day of the week, Sunday, the day when Christ rose from the dead. And most Christians understand that we are not under law but grace. Legalism does not make us righteous or acceptable to God. Thus, it should not be considered sacrilegious when a church decides to skip meeting the Sunday after Christmas considering all that they do to celebrate the season of Christ's birth. Christmas is both a time to celebrate Christ and to spend time with family. Let us allow churches to do as they feel lead in this matter without condemnation or judgment.less
I have not read the book but I would guess that capitalism is based on providing a product at a price that people are willing to pay. And the better or more useful the product, the more profit a person/company can make. If you do not like capitalism consider the alternative: oppression by government through a system called socialism.
Hey John, Have you ever read Romans 13? 1 Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. 2 Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Hey John,
Have you ever read Romans 13?
1 Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. 2 Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same, 4 for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn't bear the sword in vain; for he is a minister of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil. 5 Therefore you need to be in subjection, not only because of the wrath, but also for conscience' sake. 6 For this reason you also pay taxes, for they are ministers of God's service, attending continually on this very thing. 7 Give therefore to everyone what you owe: taxes to whom taxes are due; customs to whom customs; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.
How can we take you seriously when you go against God's word?less
Not so msnchris70. Jesus is glorified and lives are transformed. We are all part of the same body. There is more to worship than liturgy: "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs; singing, and singing praises in your heart to the Lord," Ephesians 5:18, 19.
Get use to it my brothers and sisters in Christ. Denial of our Christian heritage is only one step in the process of marginalizing Christians. Denial of our rights and persecution are coming. And these are signs of the nearness of Christ return.

Well Prophet, it not always confined within the church, but that is the environment that is most conclusive to a move of God's Spirit. Notice that in the gospels Jesus first preached to people and then afterwords he lays his hands on individuals and prays for them. And there is something different about a gathering of believers who have faith. But also there is so little teaching today about the anointing of God. Jesus, the Christ, is the Anointed One. He is anointed with the Spirit of God; it is the anointing that breaks yokes and lifts burdens. That is what Jesus was busy doing in his ministry in addition to preaching. And we, the followers of the Anointed One, i.e. Christians, should be doing the same thing also, that we go out into the world with the mission to minister to the needs of others in a way that brings glory to God while motivated by love and guided by Christ's anointing.less
it is obvious that the critics have not been presence during a move of God's Spirit that often take place in a setting where Christians have gathered in Jesus' name; where they taken time to engage in worship and praise and had the word of God proclaimed; the word that produces faith in those who hear and gives them ability to hear and receive from God. There is nothing to compare with being in Go...more

Sorry K.B., but not all Christians agree with your interpretation of scripture. If the Lord calls a women to server him, will you argue with his decision? And to what extent should outsiders have on a decision of a local, independent church. If you value the freedom of your own church, you will value theirs also.
A transformed life is not proof of salvation? The Apostle Paul would disagree with you: "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 You cannot deny thousands of transformed lives.
You ask how many have been deceived but you never stop and ask how many have been saved, healed or delivered and how many lives have been transformed. You are not able to see the whole picture. You only see a part. In heaven the record will be set straight. In heaven the truth will be made know and man's judgment and criteria will be shown to be lacking. You only see a part. In heaven the record will be set straight. In heaven the truth will be made know and man's judgment and criteria will be shown to be lacking. It will be made known that it is God's power that is behind a ministry's success; that individuals are won to the Lord and lives are transformed. I am evidence of a transformed life. You can make up all the charges you like but a transformed life you cannot deny.less
There is an anointing on Hillsong that blesses people. Such individuals are not deceived; they are moved by the Spirit of God. And their is much good fruit produced by this ministry. Remember Jesus said in John 15:5, that apart from him we can do nothing. So the next time someone wants to criticize their ministry, they should first take a moment to consider his own life and ministry; has it had as...more
