Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)
* Guilt disconnects us from God. Isaiah 59:2 (NLT) says, “It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.” When you have a bunch of guilty garbage piled up, it separates you from your God. You can’t connect to God with sin in your life.
He actually mentions sin and giving it to God throughout the whole article. He states this is the only way we can overcome hurt.

Researching Mr. DuBois I found this: "Q&A: Barack Obama"I believe in the redemptive death and resurrection of Jesus Christ."Interview by Sarah Pulliam and Ted Olsen | posted 1/23/2008 02:18PM
It was in Christianity Today, a reputable Evangelical publication
This is what Pres. Obama said:
"I am a Christian, and I am a devout Christian. I believe in the redemptive death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I believe that that faith gives me a path to be cleansed of sin and have eternal life.
Accepting Jesus Christ in my life has been a powerful guide for my conduct and my values and my ideals."
I hope this helps
It saddens me to see us reduce to refusing a believer because we do not agree with his political viewpoints. Romans 14:10 tells us not to judge or look down on our brothers. Our President has confessed to loving Jesus Christ, worshipping Him, and even publicly denounced the Muslim faith as his own. So, we have a right to tell President Obama he is not a believer?!!??
We are obligated to help fellow believers gently, obligated to be compassionate to one another, and to encourage one another.
People have changed their viewpoints points from one extreme to another before. I would never have developed a closer relationship to God, tithed, or became Pro-Life if someone continually told me I was not a Christian and could not be used by God. The Bible teaches us to respect authorities, not just our direct boss but all authorities. Our President is a Christian that needs our prayer, not our rejection.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
