God did not remove the Hebrews from Egypt when He sent judgements on the gods of the land. Instead, they were given warnings so that they could prepare for them. They had fresh water to drink when the river was turned to blood. They had light in their homes during the curse of darkness. They knew to bring their flocks inside durhing the hail, etc. God protected them through those judgements jsut as He will protect many believers the great tribulation in much the same way. He did not remove Noah and his family from the earth during the deluge, but protected them in the Ark. There will be Christians who are put to death in the tribulation, just as Revelation teaches, but there will also be survivors who will enter the Kingdom alive, being raptured. Something that strikes me in Revelation is how many times John wrote "to him that overcomes". Overcomes WHAT?? Overcomes the great tribulation! If I am taken to prison, I have the assurance that my imprisonment will only be for 10 days. My hope is that there will be more than enough evidence to behead me for my faith in Christ. He gave His life for me in a horrible manner, and without ever having committed one sin. the least I can do for Him is to give up my head if I am destined to do so.
