Online, the New Testament shows the beginning of the Catholic Church in the Gospels(On this rock I shall build my church-future tense)(Our Liturgy), Acts(setting up Bishop, Priest and Deacon) and in the Epistles to all the Churches who have the same Apostolic faith; Romans, Esphesians, Thessalonians, etc. These are all letters to those who held the universal faith with leaders who were Apostles an...more

Nothing preceded the Catholic Church, because our founder was Jesus Christ.

I really wish you would have gone to seminary or some sort of theological or religious education because your responses clearly show a lack of education.
No Baptist, Lutheran, Calvinist scholar would ever debate that the Catholic Church wasn't the original. Because the historical continuity of evidence with the New Testament is substantive and shows clear continuance.less

Showing a connnection from Annabaptists to Wadensians is not only doctrinally heretical to say as a Baptist, but also historically implausible. As a former Evangelical Minister who is son of two generation of Baptist/Calvinist Pastors your historical tree has no merit. Showing a connnection from Annabaptists to Wadensians is not only doctrinally heretical to say as a Baptist, but also historically implausible. As a former Evangelical Minister who is son of two generation of Baptist/Calvinist Pastors your historical tree has no merit. Moreover, your conclusions would be denied by any Baptists with more than a High School education because Waldensians were still extremely Catholic, minus the Lay preaching.

"Some groups of Mennonites and Baptists, in the attempt to trace historical descent through the Waldenses, claim that the Waldenses' history extends back to the Apostles.[1] Many Roman Catholic and mainstream Protestant scholars, as well as secular historians, contest that this has no basis in fact" In most circles, this attempt is considered quite comical.

Waldenese Scholarship decries that their church began with Peter Waldo and no one else before, which flatly refutes any connection between the Apostles and their own church. 1200 years of no connnection.

"In 1207, one of Waldo's early companions, Durand of Huesca, converted to Catholicism after debating with Bishop Diego of Osma and St. Dominic. Durand later went to Rome where he professed the Catholic faith to Innocent III. Innocent gave him permission to establish the Poor Catholics, a mendicant order, which continued the Waldensian preaching mission against the Cathars. The Franciscans and Dominicans later supplanted the Poor Catholics"

The vast majority of Waldensians became high level reformed Christians because they still believed in infant baptism and many other Catholic beliefs that were still accepted in Geneva.

Proving again, the Catholic Church is the only church founded by Christ.less

Scripturally, King David's Mom was the Queen. Since Jesus is the King of Kings, then Mary is the Queen of Queens in the Davidic line continuing this ancient Hebrew tradition.

Rather, your suppositions are incorrect. My interpretation of the Word of God may not jive with your understanding, but since you are in no authority to decided what is Truth or what isn't it truly doesn't matter. 1 Tim 3:15 "The church is the foundation and bulwark of Truth" My interpretation, having read the original Greek and Hebrew, understanding the context of the time the scriptures were ...more

My interpretation, having read the original Greek and Hebrew, understanding the context of the time the scriptures were said, understanding the context which the writer intended and utilizing the earliest recorded interpretations by those discipled by the apostles themselves, makes my interpretation aligned with the most authentic Truth. And this was when I was still and Evangelical Assoc Pastor in Seminary!!!!

When you take an objective look at the scriptures and marry them with the earliest understandings, you will find that the Catholic Church is right 100% of the time as Christ promised. "Lead into all Truth!"less

Sorry, but the Acts 2 Church was already built 2000 years ago. It is called the Catholic Church! Already built on the Prophets and Apostles. Without the Apostles, you are not an ACTS 2 Church.less
