Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)

Uncanney working of the Holy Spirit last night as our pastor in his teaching brought up the wheat and the tares. Book of Revelation states the reaper is Christ.
Rev 14:14-16 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat One like the Son of Man, having on His head a golden crown, and in His hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Thrust in Your sickle and reap, for the time has come for You to reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." So He who sat on the cloud thrust in His sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped.
Just a quick note for now blessings for the day to all and looking for Christ to come soon. D.

Because,
"the dead in Christ will rise first"
You’re right there, didn't mean to forget them (I guess I'm just so ready for Jesus to come again).
It is interesting in the article by Greg Laurie telling how the 2 plants grow together. It even brings a greater understanding of how they will easily be rooted up while pulling out the weeds. I need to look into it deeper but it is an interesting parable. Scripture is so cool how it is its own interpreter.

While reading the link to the study on the wheat and the tares I'm thinking that the harvesters are the 144000 of the tribes of Isreal. The parable, as I see, clearly distinguishes the harvesters apart from the workers. Also I favor the idea of the pre trib rapture as mid trib would let us know the day and the hour thus another reason to support the 144000 as the harvesters.
May we be guided and blessed in this study. D.

It looks as though the "BusinesS" has started on the other string already so I come here for edification. May the Lord grant us peace through the truth of His Holy word. May He protect us with His armor and open our hearts to know His will. Have a good day brothers and sisters.

Believer, your comment in regards to Romans 8:28-29 isn't even a adequate paraphrase. For the record fron the NKJV
rom 8:28-29 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
As for your Red Cross lifeguard analogy, I heard a similar story on the radio last week. I had no idea that was your sister.
Besides it also sounds to me that if a person is knocked out he has no choice in being saved.

"JN, is Bucket your husband because your mean spiritedness this morning sure resembles him!"
Proper use of scripture is mean spirited?
If your finding JNs comments mean spirited your either convicted of angry because you can't come up with anything to defeat the scripture she uses. I suspect the later as your passion for being "on top" in the debate In my opinion it only shows the bad fruit of fleshlyness.

Spurgeon states in a sermon on Romans 8:29
Those teachings which are commonly called Calvinistic doctrines are usually most beloved and best received by those who have had much conflict of soul, and so have learned the strength of corruption and the necessity of grace.

Beliver and Prophet
You both spout words you have heard somewhere along the line but have no interest in scripture. It shows in these posts that your fruit is not good.
Prophet stated yesterday he doesn't like to waste time debating but he spends lots of time debating and very little time seeking sound doctrine
Since you consider yourself a "prophet" from what you present here there seems to be no need for you to turn to Gods word.

Just a quick good morning before I get to work. Also one of my favorite verses as a thought for today.
Gal 3:27-29 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Blessings is the Lord Jesus Christ.

"?!?IDON'T LIKE TO WASTE MY TIME. ?!?"
WOW!!! 45 posts credited for Tuesday 9-8 with only 3 partial references to scripture. If you would take the time to look to scripture before racing to your next post maybe you would see more of the truth you claim to be “INTERESTED” in.
Over the last several days I have found more scripture that supports Gods sovereign will in our lives through election/predestination then that of our free will. It has opened many questions in my own mind but do we turn away from Gods holy word or take an easy path because we are left with "too many unanswered questions that do not add up."
Isa 55:8-9 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts
We must often remember that questions can often be a blessing as they lead us to delve into scripture even more.
I directed the comment of jester to you as his posts seem to embolden you in your comments which seem to me as sniping towards the brothers and sisters.
I suggest you take some time to consider your thoughts and check them to scripture before you FIRE OFF with the next one. As my pastor often states “God gave us 2 ears and one mouth, use them in proportion to one another”.

Prophet, personally I think you're more interested in the debate then anything else.
You can argue all day against election but the scripture stands firm that we are predestined. I have to stay with the fact that scripture is inerrorant so I won’t delve to deeply as I have recently come to the acceptance of this doctrine. This is a difficult doctrine to accept but as it is sound scripture I can't do anything but that. Indeed more study is needed. It seems some who post here aren't willing to look beyond their comfort zone. Election is a doctrine that has left me uncomfortable but hopefully I wont be so prideful as to ignore it.
I would be weary of your supporters. Jesters sniping becomes tiresome very quickly It's not edifying in any way and is never backed by any scripture that I have seen. Homosexual man often has better use of scripture then jester.

Good morning and may this week be blessed for all. Here is a link to one of McArthurs explainations in defense of election.
http://www.gty.org/Resources/Articles/A191
If I'm reading this right He has chosen some for destruction and some for salvation but those He has chosen for salvation still have a certain amount of responsability. McArthur states, "Election does not exclude human responsibility or the necessity of each person to respond to the gospel by faith." I'm off to work now and I pray for His Holy Spirit to work through us all so that we may have a greater understanding of His word and will.
With a Holy kiss. D.

"---Scripture teaches both sides (not to the degree either side usually claims though) is not discussion for learning but is now arguing and playing a supposed trump card."
Both sides?!?
Can scripture contradict itself?
1Cr 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
On our own we are little more than bits of stone and glass. Together we are the Body of Christ. Holy Bible: Mosaic is an invitation to experience Christ in His Word and in the responses of his people. Each week, as you reflect on guided Scripture readings aligned with the church seasons, you will receive a wealth of insight from historical and contemporary writings.
