I understand what it means to struggle to overcome sin, but that does not mean we should give up the fight. Also, a person cannot say they were born a certain way just because they had an urge at an early age. Many kids have urges to steal. Does that make stealing okay? Murderers have urges to kill. Does that make murder okay?

I am not a Rod Parsley fan, but the comments attributed to him in this article are the truth. Moreover, McCain's statement copied below is frightening.

I have been reading the book of Ezra lately, and this is the same thing Satan tried to use to stop the Jews from rebuilding the temple. The only difference is that Ezra told his enemies they could not work together. Light and darkness have no fellowship with each other.

"I know I will be cut off from many within the Christian community, and if so, then they didn't get the point of the life of Christ," he commented. But he hopes the faith community will not push him out for being openly gay. "I hope that they (Christians) don't do that, because that is not who Jesus was at all," he told After Elton. Is he comparing his lifestyle to those of the "low-life people" of Jesus' time? I find that pretty interesting. Obviously, a part of him knows what he is doing is wrong.

I do not suggest ripping the power out from under the SC. However, if I think a decision the court makes contrasts with my beliefs, I will live my beliefs. We ought to obey God rather than men.

'Separation of Church and state was upheld by a court decision'

The Supreme Court has chosen to interpret the Constitution in this way, and I believe they are obviously wrong. I think most of us would agree that the SC has made many crazy interpretations (i.e., Roe v. Wade).

"it is stated that State and Church be separated"

The "Seperation of Church and State" is not found in the Constitution. Instead, it came from a comment Thomas Jefferson made. His actual intent when making the statement was to keep the government out of religion, not to keep religion out of the government. I do not believe the president should give up his individual freedoms to appease folks. Besides, Christianity should determine how you live every part of your life. You cannot seperate God from any part of it.
