It is only because of the elect's sake that GOD is retraining His wrath for the vessels of desruction. As Paul said, we (GOD'S elect) must endure patiently for the sake of GOD's elect that they too will see the salvation of the LORD.
In John 10:15 Jesus Christ clearly stated that He lay down His life for His sheep.

Capital crimes against the family include rebellion to parents, homosexuality and adultery. Sound harsh? Then what you are saying, in effect, is that God is harsh and that treason against the family is “not as bad” as treason against the state."

AMen!! Gear up my brethren in the full armor of GOD and in unceasing prayer draw out the Sword in one hand and the trowel in the other as we protect and defend and built up the church of CHRIST....IN THE POWER OF GOD!!!
Jesus said, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments" (John 14:15 RSV). That is, if we truly love God, we will keep all the other commandments as well as this greatest one.
...loving our neighbor does not mean that we will ignore God and the greatest commandment which is to love Him above all. Loving our neighbor is pointing others to The Way, The Truth and The life...Jesus Christ...One of the ways GOd draws His chosen ones to Himself is through the procalmation of the GOSPEL.. the good news.
When we face enemies of the Cross we use the Sword, the Word of God in the Power of God the Holy Spirit....when people need edification we use the trowel....( from Nehemiah building with the sword and a trowel) and all done in the love and grace of GOD.
God is love and loving God has everything to do with His righteous and holy law.
