Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)
On judgment day, we are judged by how perfectly we kept God's moral standard. We will not be compared to one another but to the holy, perfect and righteous God. Comparing sin to sin does not justify sin. No one is justified by keeping the law. The law simply points to our desperate need for the Savior Jesus Christ.
Repaying evil for evil is evil. While I don't condone bullying of any sort, this was not the first incident of bullying this kid endured. Parents are not equipping their children for dealing with evil, nor are parents disciplining those who commit evil.

Ray's use of God's law is to open the eyes of the person he is witnessing to. Ray does not take a "holier than thou" approach by any means. He freely admits how he himself has violated God's perfect law. The law of the Lord is perfect, giving grace to the humble and law to the proud. If a person's eyes are not open to how they stand in their unrighteousness before a holy, perfect and righteous...more

If a person's eyes are not open to how they stand in their unrighteousness before a holy, perfect and righteous God, they will have no desire to come out of their sin and not see their need for the Savior Jesus Christ. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)less
"“Inviting Lt. McClary appears to be a step backward in creating a climate of religious respect,” Gaddy wrote to USAFA superintendent, Lt. Gen. Michael Gould." How very ironic this statement is. He appears to promote "religious respect" for all except Christianity.
I am a vile sinner saved by the grace of Jesus Christ. He commands me to proclaim His truth in love. But by no means are we to condone or be accepting of sin, either in our own lives or the lives of others. Moreover, I am also not saying that we attack or persecute those who are in rebellion against God, for they are captives to the lies of the world, the devil and the flesh. Most importantly,...more

Moreover, I am also not saying that we attack or persecute those who are in rebellion against God, for they are captives to the lies of the world, the devil and the flesh. Most importantly, we must stand against sin and proclaim God's truth and not make the difference between sin and holiness a blurred line.
God is holy, perfect and righteous. No sin will exist in His presence. The only reason I can be in the presence of God is because of Jesus Christ, for I am a grievous sinner, but I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ and the grace of God, not of my works.
We are called to confess and repent of our sins to God. I don't feel we are strictly required to confess our sins in the public forum without wisdom. We are not to cast our pearls before swine. If we have wronged someone, we should seek them out and confess to them and ask for their forgiveness, but I don't feel this is always edifying in the public arena.less
2 Corinthians 6:14-16 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
