I seem to recall something in the Bible about Jesus stopping the stoning of a woman for adultery -- but told her to go and sin no more. Is not that a lesson in redemption and forgiveness? Also, did not Jesus ask the person who had never sinned to cast the first stone? Why so much quoting of the Jewish law instead of the Christian law in a Christian room?

What is the fighting about? Isn't Jesus the only one who is qualified to judge a person's faith?

As I Christian, I do not hate anyone so I agree with prosecuting hate crimes because none of us has the right to judge others, least of all become violent with them based on our judgment. Jesus will do the judging some day and then whatever sins any person commits will be held accountable. To me, hate is the opposite of love, and love is what Jesus taught. Hate me if you like for pointing this out.

I love that this suit was filed because I love it when people are not afraid to acknowledge they believe in God. However, even I know that most bad things that happen (even the environmental ones) are a result of human actions and that God is the one who is there to help us put it all back together!

What I do not understand is why is it legal and constitutional to have public demonstrations for a cause but not public prayer? I mean, no one should be forced to join a public demonstration nor a prayer if they do not want to but I think it should be legal.

My first comment was meant to be funny. However, on a more serious note, let me ask this: Does God really need to be defended? I mean who can truly prove that God is the one to blame for the bad things that happen to us? Congrats to the Senator for speaking his mind and displaying his faith. I guess God might consider that bad publicity is better than none at all!

I think that what the Senator did by filing the lawsuit was actually an act of faith. It takes lots of faith in God to be able to be angry with Him. However, I think the courts consider God an "alleged defendant" until He is proven guilty!

Senator Almighty needs to dismiss the case immediately. Otherwise, God could request a change of venue and have the parties present their case in Heaven!
