Don't you think the word, "idol" would be convicting?...American Idol has nothing to do with the church and the size of the church does not matter. What matters is the ones who go outside the church and preach the gospel to a dying world. Music is good, but it is not above the Word and so many attend church just for the music. If the Word i true and the music is not up to par, then another church is sought. Words of songs are known more than the word of God. For the Word says, If I be lifted up, I will draw all men to me..not to music or an American Idol, but to the saving grace of Jesus..The one the early christians gave their life up for and sang to their death..knowing with full dedication who they serve..One voice filled with the Spirit of God will do more than a thousand christian concerts. I once saw a family living in a large box in an alley, and there was never a need to talk about how big my church is, but to meet the need in the name of Jesus and then to point the way to the only one who can bring to them life abundant..these people attend a small church but know the goodness of God and have become dedicated to the call to reach out to others...the church is not in the building but outside to where the masses are that are in such need of only Jesus..less
